Of those 4 kids, one is on the PW A team maybe in the top 5 and the other three are on the PW B2 team. I feel if they can move up and make an A or AA team they should be able to be moved up, and then it is a toss of the coin if they are going to be moved up to a C team. If the player is a top player...

If you were not held back and you miss the cut off but are grade appropriate your association will let you play. i.e. you are in 6th grade bday after July 1 cutoff you play first year peewees with your grade and not second year squirts as dictated by bday after july1!! Not always, every association...

Most of the time it will be the Association that will make that decision. They usually have guidelines for move up / opt ups. Sometimes bigger associations will not allow it, but little associations may. Would the child make a Pee Wee A or AA team, if so then that would be the right fit. Even if he ...

Re: Wild win Super Squirt Tournament @ Minnesota Made
As the parent of a player on one of the Minnesota Made "SS" teams, I really enjoyed the article. It was more informative than many of the Tournament propaganda articles I've read in LPH, which of course are submitted by the Team Managers or the Tournament Directors. Like all tournament ar...

Correct me if I am wrong but also the 99's would be Bantam Minors who would be checking this year. This may also be one of the reasons that they aren't playing them. I think this is great and I wish Edina good luck on the trip (I don't usually say that to the Cake eaters) and what a great experience...

Life isn't fair, deal with it!!! It is the coaches decision on how the Captains are picked. Now I would never have a kid who is or has been a bully be a Captain, but that would be my call. Just another example of parents making the decisions and not the coaches. If the parents don't like the way the...

Mnmade cuts you if you don't show up why can't D6 I have no problem with the rule, but with MN Made Machine, you have a Choice to play or not play with them. With ASSociation YOU Do NOT and Have To Play with your Home association NO matter what. Have D6 Grant any Waiver and it may be different. BTW ...

This really is an unfortunate situation and it is really sad to see a downfall of a great game. Plain and simple, Hockey is a Physical sport. It can be very physical but not in a Goon way. I think if we were to teach and educate on how to play physical the right way, we may not have to keep making u...

Bermuda Triangle of Hockey Posts
I was following a topic recently having to do with the 03 Blades recruiting techniques for the Brick, and after a long weekend it has disappeared. Funny how all the bashing of others is acceptable and only gets locked, but truths come out and topics magically disappear. Funny how things happen and w...

I agree with BlueWhitefan as you will have parents saying things they shouldn't no matter where they are from. Parents and children are very much alike in that we all do and say things we shouldn't. The only difference is kids don't know better and say the truth, but parents on the other hand have d...

You are absolutely right. Eric with E Train is great and his program is remarkable. The tread mill training is great. Jefferson was the driving force behind the training facility, and Kennedy has never really taken full advantage of it. The major difference between the two programs are the developme...
