I could not agree with you more MN Bowhunter, as the father of a goalie, I see the hard work put in just to have the stats recorded incorrectly. It is hard to watch untested goalies look so good on paper and recruited heavily based on their stats. Collegiate coaches need to re-evaluate their recruit...

SEC who wins it?

As follower of Minnesota girls hockey and the especially the SEC, I enjoy seeing posts regarding some of the underdog teams like Forest Lake. I have been to a few of their games over the past couple years and being young and energetic this year it is their best start ever. They also have a very very...

Absolutely not, I am not a hockey coach, but have witnessed too much over the last 20+ years and the concept of coaching philosophy and principles have been replaced by a beating heart, someone who is willing to watch things happen instead of make things happen, ie... communication, dedication, bein...

This is definitely a blackhole, but my other question regarding coaches is, "what defines a coach?" a beating heart with no understanding of the game or how to treat individuals, a parent who played hockey but does not know the first thing about coaching. The biggest issue I see is that th...

Experienced coaches, dedicated coaches, that are there for the benefit of the players and their development as individuals and ...
