A friend played baseball at St Thomas when Lechner was there. He said Bill played shortstop and my friend didn't think he made an error in his college career.

No relation.

Thank you. I am a Jaguar fan so I am biased but Mike is still the best HS player I have ever seen.
Here is the second article where I look back at a forward turned goalie: https://www.youthhockeyhub.com/news_article/show/1364784
The story of the coach of that Jefferson Girls team's fall from grace would make a fascinating story...

Dumb penalty early by Moorhead giving Tonka powerplay results in goal. Goals two and three for Tonka on Moorhead goalie. As good as Tonka is defensively, this one’s over early. This comment sure didn’t age well As I acknowledged. "It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future&quo...

My favorite was the Delano Desert Storm look on Thursday night.

Hibbing Bantam A team won the state in 2023 also. They played AA and A at Dakota Arena
and Hibbing was the best team I saw that weekend.

Interesting. I had a laugh but can see how not everyone would. Too bad. He played great when I announced their Rogers tie. Can you share why he will miss the just the first game? One game suspension for giving the STA crowd the double birds after they beat them in the section final I don’t condone ...

One area to watch: they will be without the services of sophomore goaltender Drew Sherman (1) in the quarterfinal, Interesting. I had a laugh but can see how not everyone would. Too bad. He played great when I announced their Rogers tie. Can you share why he will miss the just the first game?

These boys have been playing against each other since they were 7 years old. I’m sure any animosity between them has been well earned.

What do all these allegations and they are just allegations have to do with Minnesota Boys High School Hockey? Isn't there another board where you could post these?

Chalk one up for The Range. TDS won the league playoff. I hope the team is well represented in this coming weekend's IIF tourney.

Can someone explain to me/us how anyone that signed a pro contract (ECHL or AHL) can now go back and play college hockey? How is this even possible... Does this mean that anyone who's playing/played pro hockey and has college eligibility left can go back to their college and play? If this is true I...

I think the WBL goalie was already planning on going to STA. Doesn't seen that 'gross' to me , but maybe I'm missing something. Sending kid to a nice school like STA (and living with your own family) seems 100000% less 'gross' then shipping your HS aged kid to live in a more or less strangers house...

High Heat wrote: ↑Mon Aug 18, 2025 7:44 pm Sounds like there’s a mass departure happening in Shakopee. Up to 6 players are rumored to be leaving the program. Can anyone confirm this?

Are they just going back to where they came from? I know there was at least one Chan/Chaska kid at Shakopee.

Sad part of all of this is 1. Dad don't care...He's reading this and we are just feeding his ego 2. College Coaches don't care...If the kid can play, these coaches and their egos will think they can fix anything 3. The NHL don't care about some delusional hockey dad...they've seen it all - They jus...

I don't think this is a one answer fits all scenario but do see more and more US players (Mn players included) heading to the CHL but only time will tell. Sure, but there are only so many spots. Malachi McKinnon & Poul Anderson are having great years for Sherwood Park. Why weren't they on Fargo...

Losing Strukel really hurt.

According to Lou on KFAN yesterday they are going to use Gorg, Parrish and Clymer to take his spot.

Can someone smarter than me come up with these numbers For each town playing in the state, list the number of kids that moved into their program after Bantams For the private schools, list the numbers of kids that played for another high school team before transferring to said private school It wou...

Links and scores are appreciated.

Regarding Rock Ridge it looked like Andover worked up a number 6 on them.

Free market and capitalism at work! LOL! If they people want to spend $200 on a ticket, more power to them, I guess. By the grace if God I got championship tickets in the club level at center ice for 40 last year day of, that’ll never happen again The Championship game tickets are easier to get tha...
