Re: Tonka Moorhead

Dumb penalty early by Moorhead giving Tonka powerplay results in goal. Goals two and three for Tonka on Moorhead goalie. As good as Tonka is defensively, this one’s over early. This comment sure didn’t age well As I acknowledged. "It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future&quo...

Hibbing Bantam A team won the state in 2023 also. They played AA and A at Dakota Arena
and Hibbing was the best team I saw that weekend.

Re: AA QF - #5 Grand Rapids vs. #4 Rosemount

Interesting. I had a laugh but can see how not everyone would. Too bad. He played great when I announced their Rogers tie. Can you share why he will miss the just the first game? One game suspension for giving the STA crowd the double birds after they beat them in the section final I don’t condone ...

One area to watch: they will be without the services of sophomore goaltender Drew Sherman (1) in the quarterfinal, Interesting. I had a laugh but can see how not everyone would. Too bad. He played great when I announced their Rogers tie. Can you share why he will miss the just the first game?

These boys have been playing against each other since they were 7 years old. I’m sure any animosity between them has been well earned.

What do all these allegations and they are just allegations have to do with Minnesota Boys High School Hockey? Isn't there another board where you could post these?

Chalk one up for The Range. TDS won the league playoff. I hope the team is well represented in this coming weekend's IIF tourney.

Re: HS Elite League Rosters

Can someone explain to me/us how anyone that signed a pro contract (ECHL or AHL) can now go back and play college hockey? How is this even possible... Does this mean that anyone who's playing/played pro hockey and has college eligibility left can go back to their college and play? If this is true I...

Re: STA Boat Party

I think the WBL goalie was already planning on going to STA. Doesn't seen that 'gross' to me , but maybe I'm missing something. Sending kid to a nice school like STA (and living with your own family) seems 100000% less 'gross' then shipping your HS aged kid to live in a more or less strangers house...

Are they just going back to where they came from? I know there was at least one Chan/Chaska kid at Shakopee.

Sad part of all of this is 1. Dad don't care...He's reading this and we are just feeding his ego 2. College Coaches don't care...If the kid can play, these coaches and their egos will think they can fix anything 3. The NHL don't care about some delusional hockey dad...they've seen it all - They jus...

Re: Never too early for rankings…

I don't think this is a one answer fits all scenario but do see more and more US players (Mn players included) heading to the CHL but only time will tell. Sure, but there are only so many spots. Malachi McKinnon & Poul Anderson are having great years for Sherwood Park. Why weren't they on Fargo...

According to Lou on KFAN yesterday they are going to use Gorg, Parrish and Clymer to take his spot.

Regarding Rock Ridge it looked like Andover worked up a number 6 on them.

I have a hard time believing BIG has a larger capacity than Braemar. Perhaps those numbers are according to the Fire Marshall. As a supporter of the women's game, I've been to the semifinals and finals probably a dozen times, I've never seen the lower bowl close to half full. I thought I remembered it being a Blake parent, but I think the point remains. I used to think it was ridiculous with the empty building & thought it should be at Ridder, but it doesn't bother me anymore. Xcel is the pinnacle arena to play at in the state, so I got no problem with it being the ...

What does the Xcel charge for the girls state tournament? I get that it wouldn’t be fair to move just the girls, but what do they get, 1-2k fans a game? Looks like maybe 500 people for the Farmington/Edina game. I believe the MSHSL got sued (and lost) back in the early 2000s because they played the...
