I'm not sure that Baskin would go to SCSU. I heard he was getting looks from Harvard and other Ivy Leagues so I doubt he would go for SCSU with the GPA he has. (Not to say smart kids don't go there) Just my speculation. Dude, OUCH. Three reasons he might still want to go there: 1) A friend of his c...

He should have won Mr. Hockey!! Fly's under the radar just like Rothstein. Andrew and Sam know each other pretty well since Andrew's younger brother Michael is in the same grade as Sam and they are buddies. I read somewhere that Baskin was also looking at State. The Skippers/Huskies pipeline might ...

Re: Does Benilde win state without Jabs?

First off, congrats to BSM, they played great and beat many good teams. So, for my question, do you think that if Jack Jablonski was not tragically injured, Benilde would have won state? They were struggling right around the time when the injury occurred, and they really seemed to pull together aft...

Coatta and Lettieri have been light on the score sheet in the last couple weeks. Look for them to put up some big points the rest of the season (hopefully into next week) :D Rothstein and Baskin will be their usual self putting at least a couple on the board. I expect a great game but I think Tonka...

Well I don't really think much of it when someone transfers from or to a private like AHA but there are plenty of other cases with public to public that I can see someone making this argument. But really its what it better for the player/student not what is better for the school that matters in the ...

Re: Biggest factor in this years playoffs?

I think this penalty will definitely come into play at some point and will probably end up deciding a few games in sections. But from a few games I have seen after the rule change it seems like there is almost less intensity in the games and definitely less hitting. I hope I'm wrong but it seems as ...

Are you kidding me!? Wow, that should be an advertisement for sex wax. Friction tape. The comments on that page are laughable. They all think this kid is the next Gretzky or something but he plays for DL. I looked at their schedule it is a complete joke. But nevertheless, one of the best goals I've...

Based on your comment above, I have communicated with a prominent Class AA coach in the metro area. That coach says he has heard nothing about any email that you say was sent by the MSHSL. And trust me, if there were such an email, this coach would have gotten it. OOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhh lets all make...

When I saw that this was a "brawl" that might've been an overstatement and I don't believe it warranted all 10 players to be ejected. Anyway, it looks like the players might start to police it by themselves. If players realize that when they make a hit like this that a brawl may ensue I'm ...

Re: 12/28 - Duluth East vs Minnetonka

I agree Minnetonka is on a roll and the team to stop them would obviously be the #1 team DE but I think Tonka will pull this one out if their D can keep it together.

Tonka 5-3 EN

I watched this whole series a few times as well and it really reinforces what I have been thinking for a while now which is fighting should not be in hockey. Not in Gardiner's case, I remember he didn't get a sniff from Minnesota and I know he was a good student. Then Lucia offers his brother Max a scholarship one year later in his junior year I believe.

Btw this article is very one sided. From some people I know that were at the game (good people), they didn't condone the food stamps chant, but also noted that nowhere in this article was the fact that Hopkins chanted "Daddy's wallet" which prompted food stamps, or the fact that some EP p...

If accurate, the food stamp chant is classless. I highly doubt the chant evolved into using the "N" word. If an AD was present, I am sure the inappropriate chant ended quickly. Frankly, I find some chanting fun as long as it is in good spirit and not demeaning. College games are loaded wi...
