My phone is not allowing me to look on D1 commit website so forgive the ignorance. As I stated earlier I have only seen one game, STA, but Zimmer looked like he was still on the mend. Senden looked disinterested or hurt who knows. But Stevens and Dingman were fantastic. If they are already D1 don't...

Passolt with 5 in a 14-1 Rout
would be impressed if he scored 1 against Hill..but wow..nice effort to pot 5 or 6...talented kid and underrated with all the bigger names this year 4-5 goals in a 14-1 Turkey Shoot, you would hope your first line would score a bunch of goals. To your point, none against H-M or even against us in t...

Centennial lost to Blaine[/quote]
I stand corrected. All the more reason they should come in on fire tonight.

5AA Section Preview- Centennial vs. Maple Grove
Centennial has already beat Blaine, followed up with a solid win over the Dogs of Duluth. Maple Grove with a horrible 4 straight loss to start the season has won the last 3 in a row, including an overtime win against Blaine. Who takes this one? Is Centennial for real? Is Maple Grove putting it toget...

What do you mean rented??? You mean recruited??? I thought public schools didn't do that. He will be good in the future but last night it showed he was young. Didn't Lindgren from Eagan play Youth hockey for Lakeville North (that's where older brother Charlie played through Varsity). Could ha...

It would appear it will come down to a somewhat inexperienced coaching staff bringing some discipline to this team. Not an easy job, but the basic raw materials seem to be there. No doubt the coaches as players have a lot to draw from.sanryam wrote:Maple Grove is probably the most underrated team thus far.

I know if I was a defenseman from Edina, let alone Section 2, I'd be pretty PO'd. Wonder what Giles thinks of it. BTW, wonder how that 'growth spurt' is coming? The only other defenseman from Edina did tryout and made it !! What's your point! !!I think his point was that if another defensema...

[Totally gutless by the principle, AD and District Administrator. But, not surprising at all. Job preservation by the other participants. When it comes to saving your own job now a days people turn dirty which is really unfortunate. I know we don't know all the facts but it's my opinion that nobody...

Scary, Fred telling us who the Top 3 players from each game are. Please stick to Pee Wees  Gotta go with ya there PSH. Not too sure about the AA and A analogies. There were all kinds of factors. AA vs. A, HS vs. Bantam players, Private vs. Public shool, this was Blue's second game of the day,...

Best mullet of all the hockey dads. Maybe of the dads, but Coach Scott for Blaine has the best mullet over all (can't make that look up). Anyway, ran into someone that was there Friday that said Daddy B actually got kicked out twice (probably misplaced his lucky coin during his chit-chat with the r...

Eat, Sleep, Hockey Movie behind the scenes
So does anyone have the real story of what really happened at the Colleseum Friday night with one of the movie's subjects AND his head coach? This is what was NOT shown in the movie, the dark side.

While “sub-culture” is the operative term in the backgrounder on the Youth Hockey Hub post, I’m not sure how favorably that mirror will reflect. Clearly the head of one family is so passionate he wants to share his knowledge coaching/teaching dozens and dozens of lucky kids. The head of the other fa...

In that case, gotta make the call (and control your bench). Thanks for the 411.Bluewhitefan wrote:No question the call had to be made. It was the second or third time the Trojans had an extra man. The Hornets never set up the pp offense on the game winner. Simply a screened shot from inside the blue line.

Edina got a penalty shot 2 minutes into the game and went up 1-0. Wayzata tied it up 1-1. Then Edina got a PP goal to go up 2-1. Wayzata got a PP goal to tie it at 2-2. It was 2-2 after 2 periods. In the second OT edina scored, Bellows, on another PP. The second OT was 4 on 4. There were plenty of ...
