Positive Ways
1. We do need to bring the practice to game ratio back to something closer to 3 to 1. Too many youth teams are playing way too many games. There is a cap at the squirt level, why not have one at the peewee and bantam levels? Peewees 30-35, bantams 35-40 for example. There is no way teams that have 5...

RE: TC District All Star Game
I think it is time to end this discussion. It is going no place real fast, and I am sure that people outside the district are reading this and wondering what is going on in the TC.

There are more important issues at hand, and this thread should be put to rest until the next All Star game, if ...

Best of luck to Johnson and Highland at regionals. You are correct, TC has not faired too well for awhile at regionals maybe that will change this year.

RE: TC District Peewee All-Star Game
Generally the highest finishing St. Paul and Mpls coaches are selected to coach a team. It then becomes a matter of deciding upon the best format to make sure the game is competitive. The St. Paul vs. Mpls format is nice, but as past history has shown us, it is not always the best game.

I am ...

Huth looked good in the Elite II league this fall for section 6. I does not suprise me that he also is off to a good start.

Section 7A/AA
Congratulaions to section 7 on the champy. Their first game with section 6 was a close game after the first 8 minutes of the first period as section 6 gave up 4 quick ones and the score was 4 to 1 in favor of 7 after the 1st period, with a goalie change for 6. 6 won the second period 2 to 0 and the ...

Other Teams?
John04 - I agree with you on a couple of the other teams in the section that may be a surprise as in Johnson and Woodbury. Johnson always brings a very determined group to the rink, and this group should be fun to watch this year as many sophomores gained varsity experience last year. Brian Galloway...

Wausau scores for Section 1
Sioux Fan - just a couple corrections on some of the section 6 players noted in your game summary. The goaltender's correct name is Cameron Stypula and he is a sophomore fresh out of the Eden Prairie A Bantam program last season. Also, Danny Kristo is actually a freshmen who also is out of the Eden ...

Crosby
Crosby, are you a freshmen? If I understand correctly you played for the Moundsview A Bantam team last season also? If you did play for that team, you should know the coach and how he operates at the bantam level already. I would stay and play out that last year and forget about stressing out on thi...

If this move really takes place, has anyone heard any rumors on possible candidates? I wonder if any of the assistant coaches were offered the job at all? I would not think they would take it anyway.

Re: Transfers
Back to the comment that MAHA or what is now Minnesota Hockey, should not stand in the way of letting youth players transfer to whatever program they think best fits their little Johnny or the parent ego, is totally off track. The transfer issue should not ruin what should be a pure level playing in...

Re: moundsview is likely looking for a new coach
Check out the Pioneer Press, and Charlie Walters. He states that the non-renewal of coach Nitti's contract has caused controversy and divided the schools hockey community. Also, a search for a replacement hasn't begun, and an interim coach for next season is a possibility. Should be interesting to s...

Re: Mounds View is likely looking for a new coach
puckhead89, I agree with you on the overall development comments. Now this may be getting off the subject a little and is not in reference to the Moundsview situation. Too many coaches are pressured to WIN, and many of them are in average or below average programs, and they may still be forced to go...

Re: Mounds View is likely looking for a new coach
I agree it is not cool when parents can lobby to get a coach removed but, this team was 13-13 last season and lost their final 4 games which were against some good teams. Their leading point getter was a junior and the next two were seniors with a sophomore in fourth. Also, there will be no returnin...
