WSP
In reading the BSM post, I thought I would ask this. Forgive me if this is old news, but my husband and I have been out of the state for 3 weeks. I was just informed by someone that the WSP varsity job is open. Is this true? I heard possibly parents were involved in this change also?? Who has the sc...

Re: You just don't get it
I look at the list GHS posted and cant believe it, but Kilpatrick is probably a lock. I agree she is a good player, but the fact that she is a lock for Ms Hockey I think makes me the class is weak. Any class is weak compared to this years and last years, but she doesnt compare to the elite of either...

Re: refs
Thank you for that comedy. Why dont you watch it one more time, this time putting down your "I hate SSP glasses" and this time count a thousand one, a thousand two and what your will see is about 3 diff camera shots have occurred after the goal, see since 2 seconds is a long long time. It ...

NO YOU EMBARRASSED YOURSELVES HOCKEYGAL BY TAKING A TEAM WITH 3 RECENT CLASS AA STATE TITLES AND MOVING DOWN TO A SO YOU CAN WIN ANOTHER TITLE. YOU NEED TO MAKE A 4 YEAR COMMITTMENT. BIG DEAL , DEAL WITH IT. WHAT A POOR EXCUSE. HATE TO BE 500 HA ! TYPICAL SSP

Your right, I am embarrassed. Mu...

Re: luvhssports
What a pathetic thread. SSP has had to deal with this jealousy for years now. The fact of the matter is this - if it was year by year decision there is no question SSP would have been AA this season and no they wouldnt have stopped EP. But thats a moot point because the reason they HAD to move back ...

Re: ssp wins
I agree on the officiating. How you come up with a crew that pathetic for a State championship is just amazing. 4 or 5 just ludicrous phantom calls on SSP. A couple terrible calls on Warroad also. The tying goal - still not sure how that developed but the bottom line is the right result occurred as ...

Re: Best (Individual) State Tourney Performances?
Jonnie Bloemers came thru in the clutch with the season on the line. They call that big time. However, in my mind, the MVP is Danika Porter. SSP loses 3 or 4 -0 without her. How they possibly hosed her AGAIN out of the all tourney team is simply amazing. Embarrassing really.

We had a thread o...

Nutz - Great point. As for Morris, seen way too many successful bullyings with ref. But your right, thats far more on the ref than anything.

Seing the replay yesterday just affirmed the ridiculous handling of the entire play. First off, it seemed clear to me the puck was batted not hand pass...

Re: Game Atmosphere
I just cant get over how completely silly moving to the X was. SSP is going to a 4th title game in 5 years and it was like a reg season game vs Tartan. That literally is no exaggeration. Between periods several pockets of people in concourse were in some way shape or form commenting on the following...

Re: Thank-you, Mr.Cobb & Co
I just cant get over how completely silly this whole thing is. SSP is going to a 4th title game in 5 years and it was like a reg season game vs Tartan. No excitement, no pulse, no charge from crowd, no noise, no nothing. A total and wasteful shame. Its pathetic and sad people have to whine and cry t...

Re: Stillwater vs E.P. Reviews
Thanks very much for the info - good stuff. Its simply amazing the guy once again is allowed to run roughshod over the officials. However, the bigger issue is how they allowed him to sway them to do something not even in the damn rules!
!!! Amazing!

Re: Instant Replay - State
EXACTLY!!!! I still would like someone to answer how they got away with reviewing for a hand pass??? Whether it happened or not is moot, as far as I know they can only review for a goal or man in crease. Someone please explain.

Re: Thank-you, Mr.Cobb & Co
So its ok because the food is better? I wont argue m,any things may be a little better, however, there is no disputing the atmosphere is completely differnt - no noise, no crowd feel or emotion since is all spread out, just no "playoff" atmosphere. Sad.

Re: Instant Replay - State
How was the hand pass reviewable if it occurred prior to goal and has nothing to do with whether or not puck crossed goal line???!!! So what if a Stillwater girl grabbed and held a EP defenseman who WOULD have knocked the puck away from the girl who scored but reffed missed the penalty, are we now g...

Re: Thank-you, Mr.Cobb & Co
Well sais by all of you. How embarrassing - no electric atmosphere, playoff tension, nothing. You would have had no clue in the world it was a state tourney had you not known ahead of time. Its shameful how a select group of people can ruin something as they have. This is the world we live in. Polit...

EP could have lost to Wayzata, was a good game and they got it done. However, they are going to learn a little something about pressure this weekend and what it will take to beat them is a great effort from a star player. Your going to see that tonight:

Stillwater 3
EP 2

Re: Class A @ State
Hubba - Shocked you stated Alex is toughest game? What makes you say that? I think if we win the 2nd game will be far tougher as they have legit star on each team that can score (Roberts and Kilpatrick). Additionally, NP handled SSP ina scrimmage earlier in year which granted doesnt mean much but I ...

Re: Class A @ State
I hate to burst your bubble, but Alexandria beating SSP would hardly merit upset of the year award. First off, Alex has had a great year and is a top "A" team. I can see how you would feel its a big win and is best team you have played etc - but SSP is not anywhere near an overwhelming fav...

Re: Section 4A 2006
SSP-Farmington indeed was a very good game. The officiating thru 2 periods was equally bad for both teams. Both teams got some bad no calls and then SSP got a huge break with a ridiculous penalty called near end of 2nd period in which they capitalized on and scored to move ahead 3-2. Then it became ...

I have rto admit I underrated Chelsea Jones a little. After she single handedly beat NSP last night I have to say she is the best player in the state and deserves MS Hockey.
