Plus, they didn't just become the first team in MN High School hockey history to make the Championship game 6 times in a row. I do...

thats what I mean, apparently only recruited one or two this year, will have to checkout Grand Rapids or Duluth Marshall next year :wink  :  You say there were kids recruited to come to play hockey at Hermantown. You obviously know so much about the program name some. You can't. There is...

Rainier Said: Proctor? Really? Proctor is not and never has been a top hockey school. And Proctor's best player did transfer this season- to Duluth Marshall . Why didn't he go to Hermantown, you ask? Because Hermantown doesn't allow open enrollment. There you go again providing me with more ammo. T...

According to Wikipedia, Hermantown is a suburb of Duluth. The last I checked, Mendota Heights has its own mayor, police and fire department, public works and schools. Well then according to Wikipedia St Paul must be a suburb of MPLS then also. I stand corrected lol. But i think that the peap...

No mendota Heights is a suburb not a city of itself. Hermantown is it's own city! It has and has always had it's own schools, fire dept, police dept, public works, etc that just happens to be next to Duluth. St Pauls border meets the Mpls border does that make them the same town? geesh http://www.m...

Not sure where you are getting 280,000 for Duluth but to my understanding the city has a little less than 90,000, not sure if the close rural areas are counted in that but there certainly isn't almost another 200,000 out there. http://www.northlandconnection.com/msa/ Duluth MSA, not Duluth proper. ...

Re: Hermantown is a suburb of Duluth
[quote="rex123"]Hermantown is not a town, it is a suburb of Duluth. Less then 10 minutes form downtown. It was even on the map until 1975. I get tired of them playing the small town card. You are wrong. Hermantown is a town...well a city...the City of Hermantown. It is not a suburb of Dulu...

Because it has a metro population of 150,000, an AA school, one of the largest A schools, and a private school. Well census date puts the Duluth MSA at closer to 280,000 but let's not let the facts get in the way of a good narrative right? By the way, can we stop the charade of calling Hermantown a...

Re: Private vs Public
I'm old..but I use to go to both the Public and Independent School Tour. back in the day. The Public tourn had one class as did The Independent Tourn. The Public had the David vs Goliath, North vs. South as did the Independent. I wish they would go back to that. Warroad vs Edina, Dululth Cathedral ...

Not sure how many Roseau had try out. Why don't you fill us in? There are exceptions to everything but 38 at tryout im sure is small compared to most AA schools. How many kids do the metro AA teams have try out? hmm No idea on how many Roseau had try out. 38 small for try out? How many does Rapids,...

Bruce is not only a great guy but a fantastic coach always having a competitive team despite low numbers . Hermantown has 12 Mite Teams. Most Associations would kill to have "low" numbers like that. NOT only that (low numbers comment)...how many kids does Roseau have? hmm #-o Not sure how...

Episode 1: after the quarterfinal win over Marshall. On the top line of Benson, Koepke, and Gronseth: "They came up from Bantams as tenth graders, and they were our third line. Or, affectionately, the diaper line. We call them 'little fuzzy things.' As juniors they were the second line (with T...
