96 Prospects was a great tourney. Regional Express was a deserving winner and a deep and talented team of players primarily from NY/Canada. Even thought the Blades didn't make the 8 team playoff bracket (they were 9th after seeding games), they competed well and the top 8 teams were all deserving qu...

Yeah, the one with 30+ stitches in his leg from yesterday got cleared to play, and the Dman from yesterday didn't incur a penalty that required sitting out. So, the 96 WI team is just down the one forward, definitely for the afternoon game, likely tomorrow. Its just part of the game....... And I bet...

96 score
96 Wisconsin Selects 7, Manitoba Glacial Ice 2 Wisconsin likely loses a center for rest of weekend as he's off to the ER to get stitches in his calf; maybe loses a Dman for the morning game tomorrow as he was ejected from the game for a penalty called on him. Will make tomorrows games even tougher t...

96 Wisconsin Selects
96 Wisconsin Selects starts with a core of players from the 96 Green Bay Jr Gamblers AAA team, and add to that several select players coming mainly from north-central WI and Milwaukee. No Madison area kids.

you must have forgotten....
you couldn't beat them on the ice so you had beat them in the board room. The last time there was a Wisconsin State Tournament at the 96 AAA level (2 seasons ago), the 96 Fire lost both of its games to the 96 Jr. Gamblers (5-4, 4-3). Sure, the 96 Fire had near total success against the 96 Jr Gamble...

bigger base?
As I understand it, the Green Bay club picked up two or three kids from the folded Milwaukee AAA 96 team who wanted to continue playing AAA rather than go back to club hockey (some others went to Chicago for AAA), the rest come from the greater GB area I believe. And perhaps there's a bigger overall...

did you ever consider....
that maybe Green Bay came to the tournament because they want to play the best competition they can get, no matter whether they are AAA, AA, or whatever you want to call them? The fact is, the better PWA teams in MN would compete very well in Tier 1 AAA. And there's a lot of Tier 1 AAA teams that wo...
