Has anybody else noticed that no matter what the event, camp, league, tournament, some body thinks the talent is "watered down". I certainly haven't seen that to be the case. What I see is less and less players seperating themselves because everyone is getting better. Has anyone noticed i...

most are going 'pro in something other than sports' . Haha great retort! From the Canadian perspective, IMO the reason some Canadians choose to play NCAA vs Major Juniors is because of their size. Every kid in Canada dreams of playing in the NHL and raising the Stanley Cup. In Minnesota every kid d...

Re: Woog?

He's skipping his senior year of high school, hence HE IS EARLY. Draft age and school age are not the same. I think what he is getting at is Bjugstad was born on July 17, 1992. This means he will be 18 this July, which if he was going to be a senior next year would make him very very old for his gr...

Come on people....this is not high school it is college. These two are good, but they need to move to the juniors for a minimum of a year. Yes they are both very good, but Bjugstad is a junior who will graduate early, but he is immature. The best thing to help this Gophers team would be to send the...

Do you really think Johnny T was making 50 dollars canadian a week playing for London in the OHL last year and now on the Islanders? Just to add a little insight to the WHL draft process. If a minnesota born kid is going to play canadian juniors they need to play in the WHL. Where you play in Canadian juniors to start is based on where you are born. Also the reason why few to none players get drafted is because the chances of a ...

Watching Fink back in HS, I always thought he was a kid that needed to move on. He seemed to float a lot and I thought being forced to play an all around game in the USHL against better players would help him in the long run. Certainly we can debate things in hindsight... but I can't say I blame hi...

I thought it was pretty funny how the 216 kids were chanting "No one likes you" towards Edina with most of the building feeling the same way, then mid chant Edina scores a goal. Kinda sad and deflating, but still funny.

There are all sorts of options when this occurs. If the player and the coaching staff put some thought and effort into situations like these, they can work out great. The reason that the kid doesn't get recognition is because he isn't as consistent as a kid like Shaughnessy. 9/17 of this kids games he didn't stop 90% of the shots he faced, Shaughnessy has only saved less than 90% in 3/16 games. Goals against is a different thing, but a goalie who is as good as y...

As far as MV being a contender this year it depends on what you think they are contending for. If its the state championship or even the schools first state berth since over 30 years, very unlikely. I would say however, that it would be great to see them top 3 in the SEC and even better to see them ...
