Apple Valley won the tournament beating St. Cloud 4-1. AV also had 2 goals disallowed. St. Cloud goalie Kevin Johnson played very well. The score does'nt reflect his performance. Also, St. Cloud scored the only goal on AV all weekend. It came late in the third.

Size definitly matters. Especially as you get older and kids get stronger. Size will end up sepertaing the kids that are going somewhere and the kids that aren't. Unless your little and ripped and your center of gravity is unbelievable and everyone that trys to hit you falls over. Then your ok. But ...

One of the Apple Valley parents told me that their manager sent in the check to play in the tournament and burnsville lost it, then sent it back to them so AV didn't get to play. Sounds to me like someone wanted to win their own tournament and Apple Valley would have been a major road-block for them.

Zack Stepan is one of the best players i've seen at his level. He can find the back of the net, he's not selfish with the puck, he hates to lose and works SO HARD. If the saying "you get out of it what you put into it" is true, expect to see this kid in the NHL.
