Can anyone tell me where CHS and Sartell are going to play instead of the GCC? I remember years ago attending games at the GCC and the arena was packed, the play was high level and the hockey was great. I would guess that with the big tournament in Blaine at the same time the competition has gone d...

I am going to go ahead and say Cathedral bailed on the GCC because of how the tourney has changed face over the last few years. For as long as I can remember, Cathedral would play either Apollo or Tech in the nightcap. In recent years, Cathedral has faced off against the likes of Rogers and Litchfie...

Re: sweet
Hartmann played for Larson for two seasons (sophomore and junior) I believe. Had some pretty solid teams with him, Howe and Henkemeyer.Cheese wagon driver wrote:Did Hartman play for Larson or is that before he was there?

First off, I must say that I feel this firing is not warranted. However, it was about this time last year that he should have lost his job for the whole St. Cloud Tech Youth Hockey Assoc. proposal. He was skating on thin ice since then and any old reason would get him the boot. Also, I will say that...

SCC Lourdes Breck 37.5% of class A is still private, so we are missing good old marshall and STA....thats still pretty impressive, but 62.5% of the teams being private schools would have really made a statement i guess....Cathedral doesn't recruit, they just offer a superior academic experience com...

Remember on this board when Nate got caught asking questions about himself? “Where did Nate go?” He did come on and apologized, but do you think one of the above could be him again? The best thing this year is his health, I believe he played the full year? Good luck at the Force! You deserve it and...

I have a girlfriend...she lets me get away with a lot. Saw 12 high school games (11 in person, one on MyFoxHockey) between Friday Feb. 27th and Yesterday... I think Cathedral is the better team but Mahtomedi is a very quick club that creates a lot of chances with their speed. It's hard to know how ...

If you haven't seen Ben Marshall play yet, I would recommend watching Mathomedi's game against Cathedral because he is much better than most people realize. Not as good as Leddy right now, but the gap is not very wide by any means. Eerily similar to Aaron Ness. Agreed! Not quite the vision that Nes...

Looks like this game is going to be a dandy! I've seen Mahtomedi play twice this week and they are definitely a fun team to watch. Two great teams in an awesome quarterfinal match-up. Should be a great class A tourney. blandy, not sure who you are...but man...you watch more highschool hockey than a...

If STA wins tonight: 1. STA on virtue of their schedule and they had the toughest section to get through 2. LF Based on the record....Only 3. Breck Who else in this bunch is 2-0 against teams in this years AA State Tourney....Nobody 4. Warroad They lost to SCC but have played a tougher schedule and...

Assuming STA wins tonight, although I could see them losing, these are my rankings... 1a. STA (best A team I've seen this year) 1b. Little Falls (weak schedule...beat everyone on it, including SCC) 3. SCC (win over Warroad and several other top teams, including H-town twice...lost to Lourdes and LF ...

Re: Hasnomoves/class
In an earlier post I said how classy the Card's team and fan's are. I now have to adjust my previous statement and say that they are a classy team and fans except Hasnomoves. He should call himself HasnoCLASS. Once again a tremendous hockey game, congrats to both teams on playing great hockey. I do...

From a completely unbiased source that has seen each team play at least five times this year...Alex definitely is better in the goaltending position...one who doesn't think that is completely off base with reality.sticks wrote: Alex is NOT more skilled than LF at ANY position. Enough said about that.

i dont feel cathedral played a B game...the pace was FAST, they got shots on net, held Hermantown to few quality chances, played position hockey exceptionally well and backcheck and pick up their respective wingers as well as any team can, and their breakouts and center ice regroups were excellent....

I can honestly say that Cathedral outplayed Hermantown much worse the first time around than last night. I would say Cathedral played a 'B' game last night and got lucky Tessier had an off night...although I don't know if it was really an off night. That said, Hermantown had some solid pressure in t...
