Dubai

Here's an example of "the US's transfer of wealth". Keep filling up your petrol tanks folks.
There's no need for more domestic oil production.

Re: Schwan Cup - Xcel Center

I'm considering coming up to see some games this winter. Does anyone know if they'll disinfect the Xcel Center? I'm watching the RNC on TV and a lot of these goober lemming sheep are creeping me out. No plans to go to Denver, so I'm not as concerned for how they sterilize that place. Plus I think t...

The wise man was not born wise, he became wise by being foolish first, and then listening to those who had wisdom. Do you know why they teach our children history in school and not future? I'll let you answer that yourself! Have a great day ! :D They teach history so they can learn from it, adapt f...

Re: MN Made redundancy

There are many other options for "development".
Ultimately, in the long run it won't matter.

Re: MN Made

Choice League vs Association Squirt League Why would an association penalize a player for spending a year developing his/her skills by choosing Choice League? The association is going to benefit by having a stronger player. Maybe the Choice League kid isn't the super star after all and needs furthe...

If the 4-day week becomes more universal how will this affect hockey association scheduling? In many associations schedules are already tight with team practices right after school. Nobody likes before school or late night practices during the week. http://www.sreb.org/scripts/Focus/Reports/Focus_Sc...

the trickle-down effect

People can debate the merits of Juniors but one thing that isnt debatable is that it hurts HS Hockey when it takes some of its best players. All true but unfortunately there isn't anything that can be done about it, other than everyone doing whatever they can to provide the best experience possible...

Wouldn't playing the same kids with the same coaches, year after year, on the same two sheets of ice get a bit old by PeeWees? By Peewees there is a State Tournament - maybe Bernie hasn't shared that? Course in Squirts there is the great Fargo tourney too. Wouldn't want to miss that. Having good co...

I have taken both sides of this argument and probably land on letting the coaches take who they want. The coach has to put up with the players/parents all season - in many/most cases they volunteer. Let 'em have whoever they want. Maybe the coach just doesn't want your kid because you're a pain in ...

hockey academy

We all know that Bernie didn't invent the wheel. Hockey Canada Skills Acadamy: A hockey academy is an institution that allows "YOUNG" hockey player to take part in a training program during school hours. In many European countries, hockey academies form the base of all hockey develo...

boring

Duckie, if your goal is to have your son a B player, why do you send him to Minnesota Made, all the clinics, the teams, and everything? To be a B/C player? All the "development" and the ice cost that is $8.30495684732643450796584 per hour surely can't be to make your son a B player, is it...

I think this thread could be more productive. While some of the comments are humorous or (less) some of the energy could be used better. Case in point. USA hockey registrations: 06-07 - 457,038 http://www.usahockey.com//Template_Usahockey.aspx?NAV=ME_03&ID=29074 Hockey Canada: 06-07 - 545,363 ht...

Is it possible that MM core customer will eventually become the "average" player? That is where camps, training centers, etc.. have to flourish in order to make a profit. Yes, that could happen. But, if they don't provide a "quality" service will they survive? I read today that ...

There was a comment above about playing high school hockey. Please understand that you're a failure if you end up playing high school hockey. Ask Bernie, he tells his Machine kids that all of the time. By the time you hit 15 you should be on your way to Ann Arbor or Juniors. Only the mediocre get l...

Quack Quack My question is so all these kids that choose to leave there association to play at Minny Made are they expecting to be welcomed back with open arms when they get to Pee Wee's or is the next step a Pee Wee Choice league. I can not imagine my son not playing for his home colors the commun...
