Hux is right - they are just weighing the options and trying to decide which ONE of 2-3 girls. I still don't think it will be a 92.

This is the same guy who runs the Northern Skills Fest Girls' Hockey Camp and is trying to get hired as an agent for H.S. players (to help them get recruited for college?) I wouldn't let me daughter near him with the negative attitude.

Media - Your view of recruiting "parts" for a hockey team is too simplistic. You can't equate car parts to living human beings with hearts, brains, emotions, and unique physical skills. I'm sure every coach in the country would love it if it were that easy. I get your point about team chem...

IMO, landing the Lamoureux twins and the Bemidji sniper from the 2008 graduating class makes the Gopher staff look pretty darn slick!

Hilary Knight was probably the only high school player on the U22 team. The other players were in college. Correct indeed, as she was the only high schooler/17 year old out of the 40 players at the Women's Festival last August. girlshockey - you forgot to mention the obvious (local) high school jun...

scout service

Parents - These people are entrepreneurs. They simply wish to make money, and this is a brand new service. Ask yourself the following questions before using any such service: 1. What is the purpose of the service? 2. What do they guarantee? 3. What is their previous success record with other players...

According to Coach Halldorson, the only Minnesota girls signed as of now to play hockey for the Gophers are Rasmussen and May. Perhaps she was signed for another sport? If this was meant as a cruel joke, shame on you!

Poor Jack Gravel?

Open your eyes, people. What happened at Benilde is happening all over the state - psycho parents are running coaches out in record numbers! It appears to me that very soon there will be no one left willing to put up with the parent BS.

Gravel IS a good coach, and I hope the rich and powerful...

Re: Tryout

"At-Large" selections are not usually completed until May. Only about half of the USA Hockey Districts have completed their tryout process at this time. "At-Large" players are selected from a pool of players that includes players from the entire country.

Tryout

The National camp tryouts (Phase 1 and Phase 2) are not for the purpose of helping players get a college scholarship. The program is in place for the sole purpose of identifying potential US National Team and US Olympic Team candidates for the future. In order for the Olympic Coach to have a good lo...
