Hockey Day Minnesota 2014

Per the Wild, the location of HDM 2014 will be announced tomorrow during the Wild pregame show on FSN. Anyone have an educated (or uneducated for that matter) guess on the location? If you could choose the location where would you want to have HDM 2014?

Also, I think the creator of this thread needs to realize that just because a player plays for a youth program doesn't mean the player ever attended a public school. This is a great point that a lot of people overlook. I'm not sure on percentages or numbers, but a fair number of kids attending/play...

I think the general admission idea will never happen given the number of people who have had season tickets for many years and have had to wait it out to get in the lower level (or club level, etc.). Call it selfishness but that's the way it is, and it's pretty tough to argue against the cash flow f...

I don't think this is new, as other posters before have stated. I think this has been the same for awhile and we have never come across a situation where these rules have actually had to be enforced. Not recently, anyway.

$10-$15 is usually the going rate for parking, depends on where you park. You can park in the RiverCentre ramp, I don't think there's a skyway in to the arena from the ramp, but it's literally right across the street from the X.

Is anyone seriously suggesting that adding Hastings and Prior Lake to 1AA will make that section's entrant significantly better? One of those hasn't been to the tournament since it was at the Target Center and I don't even know if the other has been to section final. Check out the youth rankings. P...

How is the composition of the sectional teams determined? How often does the MSHSL implement section re-assignments? What, exactly, is the process? Geography is the only criteria as far as I know. I think a lot of people overestimate how well the MSHSL can realign sections. I'll be the first to say...

While I cannot ever cheer for the Hornets, I have to go with them only because I am not a fan of any team that has to be politically correct. They will always be the Braves to me, but aside from that I just do not like Burnsville and think that Edina has more weapons on the big ice. Do you have any...

After finishing 6th and 7th in the South Suburban, Lakeville North and South are once again playing for their annual free pass (Section 1AA) to advance to the state tournament. It's time the 1AA playing field gets leveled via realignment. Taking a look at the map, it seems Burnsville and Prior Lake...

Put them all in the same tournament and that tournament will slowly become the more dominant and competitive tournament. Put them all in one section and you'll just further dilute the quality of the existing tourney. I don't know what some of you have against private schools, but if the MSHSL makes ...

Re: Remaining posotive

I'd argue that some D3 teams are playing at a higher level too. (St. Olaf, for example) There is no way that a team from the NA would beat any team from the MIAC. Almost all of the guys in the MIAC have played in the NA (or higher), plus they are older, stronger, and smarter than they were when the...

I've heard they're pretty sweet. But that was from a good friend who is an AHA alum and has a brother on the team, so take that with a grain of salt.
