Big win for Bemidji last night. Team, community very excited. This was not the Section final however, and this section remains wide open and interesting with some important match ups the next week. Most surprised by the Roseau win over Blaine. Not by loss to Tech as expected Roseau to be down. Origi...

Re: seeding

1. EGF 2. Warroad 3. TRF 4. Croookston 5. KCC With EGF win over Bemidji, they lock #1 and if TRF beats both Warroad and EGF they still can't jump Warroad. Crookston did lose to KCC but they have played a better schedule, but I could see 4-5 swapping spots. TRF beats Warroad last night. If TRF wins ...

Thoughts? Move up north where the majority of associations have more active hunting. Otherwise, live with the fact you live/play in a association that doesn't take deer hunting opener into consideration and schedules a tourney and make the commitment to playing.

When will Edina start to put out some top end players? What is missing there? Does being cake fed affect them? LITTLE Moorhead had six or seven in the pro ranks a year or two ago.... Not sure that Edina could have claimed to develop one? When will we see a Backes type from Ediner? Seems like there'...

Re: Reebok HP 16s - Tryouts/Rosters

A non-profit organization does not mean that it isn't out to make money. Non-profit is simply a tax-classification/business model. I used Minnesota Hockey's non-profit status to distinguish it from the Elite league, which is privately owned and operated. I wouldn't expect the Elite league to open i...

OMG! people, relax on the checking issue. Kids play 3X3 all the time and that's typically a no-checking league all the way up through bantams. 00s and 01s have been checking in various summer tourneys for two years now. They don't seem to end up in the state pen once winter rolls around. the kids r...

Second round games will be great to watch if no upsets in the first round.
mahtomedi is unreal
West Regions very tough as well and also tough to predict.

To this day, that incident made a positive impact on the safety of our game in Minnesota. Parents, coaches, and officials from all over the state are extremely sensitive to dangerous body contact plays. As a whole, coaches at all levels are doing a great job of teaching proper body contact…thus crea...

Anyone know how Ausmus is doing? I heard he got banged up in a AAA tourney last weekend. Hope he is okay and able to participate in NY pre-camp. No talk about physical play during St Cloud. In reality though, does it really matter? The individual team performance(s) really shouldn't affect the status of the individual player "tryout". After all, the purpose is to evaluate the individuals... Yes I realize the level of competition is different to some extent, but, if the true ...

Single A vs Double A

This is what is great about the current format, a one class system. If they kept this in HS, they wouldn't have to worry about teams moving up and Section 8 would probably have teams representing other than Moorhead and Roseau.

Very nice job scorekeeper. Yes, Sartell is the dark horse "the best indicator of future performance is past results" Bemidji tournament: Warroad beat Prior Lake. Warroad loses to Sartell in final. Last weekend VFW Warroad upset EGF and MHD. If EGF implodes like it did last weekend, Sartell...

Agree. Moorhead is a top 10 team and there are a couple 97 players on the team that might be in the top 20. There are also players up north that could be on the list but maybe this is just a metro list as it reads such.
