Is it 10U or U10, who really cares? If you want to be specific about all this then use correct punctuation.mnhcp wrote:It's, top players for 10U Girls.

Re: okay
By moving to a system similar to that, you would create more competitive balance among ALL associations in the State. You could. Dragging the best back to the pack will certainly even the playing field. Not sure there will be a lot of buy-in from strong associations. All this would do is start the ...

Re: Obviously there's some issues in some districts
The current window is fine but some coaches must be taking it to far. With that said the AD should manage the coach being that's what they are paid to do. The current system is not broke. AD's need to step up to the plate and set the rules for summer practice: example only practice 3 days a week an...

hate to bring up the financial aspect - but it is important to this topic. High School coaches don't make a lot of money - many are also teachers - so not huge incomes their either. These summer training programs help them supplement thier incomes, and thereby enable them to coach during the winter...

I see this as a positive. It may allow a player the chance to participate in other sports plus I am a firm believer in the fact that a player is better off getting different perspectives from multiple coaches as compared to having the same coach, good or not, for four full years without other influe...

How about the positive of Junior Hockey and its effect on the high school players.. Fred goes to play juniors and improves as a player, Frank gets his chance to play high school varsity and continue to improve as a player because Fred opened a spot for him or he would have been watching from the sta...

Re: Junior hockey
The whole discussion is nonsensical anyway, as the trend at USA Hockey has been to expand Juniors. Seems like you are the one that considers not playing in Iowa a positive, not "some people". And I can't think of any kids that dropped out of HS to play Junior hockey. [/u] O-town, I think ...

(meaning Blades primarily since they have the contract with The Brick) Can anybody explain this......a contract with a tournament for 10 year old kids? How does that work? Can someone explain to me why it would be important to gather the best 10 year olds and travel to Canada? I am not the smartest...

Question for Wickedshot
Mr. Kennedy, I have read the information on your website, sounds like you have a number of people who are willing to put in a lot of time into the kids to reduce cost and increase numbers. Why aren't these people willing to put that effort into the current association to help all the kids? In readin...

Bernie McBain
All I can get from this whole section is two things; 1. This Bernie guy must be good or he would not garner this much attention and dislike for him or his system. 2. I, just as much as anybody here would love to see my son and daughter excel in athletics but I have come to the conclusion that what h...

That would be a pretty good trick because the game is in St. Cloud Wednesday. Actually, they did change it to TRF. It even says so on the MSHSL website. Not sure why they do something like that when all season long it's been set for St. Cloud. Its simple economics at work. TRF is a great place to h...

Student Athlete :?: Nobody knows the whole story behind Brian. What other circumstances were there that he was not going to get a shot at playing for the HS? Could he have found a way if he played junior gold? Yes, if he was good enough. I believe that there are a lot of selections made at the summe...

I think that we should just adopt the canadian model of hockey development, send the kids off at 16 to live with somebody else and play for a city that will let them. To better the product on the ice, trade them. If you get cut from a team, move to another province and give it a whirl and enroll in ...

Finally a solution to the weaker programs. Some from Tonka get cut and go to Waconia. Those that are getting cut from Waconia due to the increased number of players go to Glenco and finally Glenco has a hockey team. Eventually every small town in the state of Minnesota will have the rejects from the...
