I don't think anyone involved in this decision looked at it as being more competitive for a title. They might start out doing well, but I think the entire state has seen the peak of girls/womens hockey. There is only so much one can do if there isn't enough money to go around. I know here in woodbur...

Fitzel who?
I was just talking to the high school coach at Woodbury and he told me about this Fitzel guy. He was in last week for an interview. They are looking for a goalie coach. I was a goalie coach in the Washburn orginization for many years and I'm going to be taking over the role. Wes said the Fitzel coul...

Peewee A District One
I like the reference to Highland-Cretin
The last district one board meeting notes showed something interesting. Minnehaha is might have a Bantam B team this year. Whats next, we have Cretin take over the Highland program? They already act like they own the Chiefs.

Re: TC District All Star Game
I coach the goalies in the Washburn association and I've seen TONS of squirt/peewee/bantam games the past few years and I haven't heard of either of these guys until now. Good luck boys.

Re: TC District All Star Game
That would make sense. Como didn't have an A team this year.

I think programs need to go A, but I'm not getting into that one again. You can go back a read my comments from other threads.

So, why should this kurth be in the all star game?

Re: TC District All Star Game
I coach at the Peewee A level in the TC district and I'm wondering where this Kurth kid plays. Is he an "A" goalie. Cause there haven't been any goalies that played unbeaten like that for awhile.

Think of this in real life terms.
Do we want half class students?
Do we want Mid rate workers?
Do we want the bar set at the average level?

I don't.

I want every kid to step up and follow along. Re: let em get this straight
so a team can barely field (15 players) a team and they should be playing A hockey that is your opinion right?

Yes, because I've coached against teams with 9 players and we didn't have a chance.

I've also coached against teams with 20 players and stopped counting after 2 periods.<...

Hey direlpatizo,
you must be smokin some of what that green hat guy has in your sign off.

I was asking about the A team, because as a coach myself, we shouldn't be getting all excited when people start bragging. Re: PWB1 Red Region
You guys need to stop playing God with these kids and start treating them a bit better. This is just hockey. I'm a goalie coach in the Washburn association and we would love to have enough kids to put two goalies on every team. Please stop putting the kids in the middle of these things. There isn't ...

I'm not against HEP, so don't take this wrong. I thank you for being honest about the program.

I don't like the fair play points because it isn't teaching the young players how to hit, it isn't teaching them how to score, it isn't teaching them how to stickhandle or stop a puck.

It c...
