New Prague vs. Lourdes would be amazing because their first lines are explosive. Red Wing is the classic defensive team. West is the defending champs and clearly an underdog this year. Albert Lea has something to prove. Lourdes got all the talent. New Prague has the offensive threat. I just have to...

the only USHL team that's talked to Anderson is Waterloo. There were also a handfull of NA teams too. He's waiting for the USHL draft and go from there.

Southern Minnesota better start getting credit. They're going to win Great 8 next year too

Lourdes will be the favorite next year with NP right behind them (granted Lapic and Ambroz stay). Lourdes lost nothing and returns a very fast, deep group of juniors with that loss to west in the back of their minds all season. Their team next year will be West's team this year. I heard they have a ...

I was impressed with the Flyers. Their physical play seemed to disrupt West's flow. It's too bad Ricky wasn't 100% for his last game. how he had the strength to shoot in that goal is beyond me. That wrap off the boards that bounced right to the slot, setting up that second LF goal was a downer for t...

Were the shots really 41-19? That seems like an amazingly low number for an offensive club like West. Was play that one-sided? Just asking, for anyone that was there. I see D-man stated most of Lourdes shots were harmless outside-the-dot'ers, but still, that's a big discrepancy. i think a big reaso...

1-3 (in no particular order) will probably be DM, STA, and Warroad 4 could be SCC, LF, or MW. Blake/ 3A really dont have a shot at a seed. If i had to GUESS, i'd take probably SCC. Unfortunatly, other coaches won't give West or Falls credit with their schedules Isn't that for good reason? Yes it is...

I have seen a lot of hockey games and I have seen hundreds of players go by the opposing crowd and celebrate and pump there fist, big deal. I will guarentee that no ref will give them a penalty for that. I agree, why does everyone get so offended with Leivermann and West celebrating. Most are senio...

You mean lose in the semi-finals 2 of the last 3 years now. Yes that's true. It'll be 3 of 4 after next year. 8) Or you could say that they've now won the section finals 3 of the last 5 years. 60%, that's not too bad. How many others can say that over the last 5 years? Then 3 of 6, 3 of 7, 3 of 8.....

Re: West gets the 1

My vote is Mankato West will get the #1 seed !! Throw out the Lourdes game, they were short 2 skaters off there top 2 lines!! I don't think the coaches will take into account teams being short players. It'd be nice to see West with the 1 seed but i just don't think it'll happen with that loss to Lo...

Congrats to Mankato West. Big 9 Champions! Three years ago they finished in a tie for 10th, quite a turn-around. First team outside of Rochester in 15 years. I would think Rochester will be back in the hunt next year tho, as Mayo i think, returns their whole team. I also was looking back on this thr...

I believe Litch had a hand in all 7 goals. 5 and 2. That means 89 and 8 for Lehrke to tie. Mora hasn't let up many goals this year.. i'd say ricky has it in the bag

Competing isn't the issue, getting there is and no matter who does it will be a boost for hockey in that town and that's a good thing. A long time ago the Minneapolis and St. Paul schools weren't competitive against the Northern schools but they got a shot and it helped build their programs, same w...

The refs explanation on the checking from behind was the AL kid #18 did a 360 and fell head first into the boards.
