FORMER BLAINE PLAYER CALLED UP TO NHL

Former Blaine Hockey player Matt Hendricks was recalled to the NHLs Colorado Avs on Monday.

Matt is a very good friend of mine and it is about time he got the call.

Before you go ANYWHERE, make sure that the League is covered by USA HOCKEY. There are Renegade leagues out there such as the UJHL. Just be careful and get A LOT of facts before you go anywhere.

$7500 is a great deal of cash. After reading these, I talked to a buddy who is on staff with a T3 Jr A team in the MNJHL (Minnesota). His teams fees are under $4000 for the year due to drawing large crowds and sponsers ect... Few kids are going D1 out of the league, but quite a few move up to the NA...

B&G For the most part you are right. Keifer on the other hand still had his ride to SCSU, he made the decision to go to the WHL. He only played 19 games and left for the DUB. The Gophs jumped at Martell early and he never really got it going in the USHL. Rumor is that Lucia told him all he had t...

First off, it wouldnt really be your choice. If a you get a scholly a team will either tell you to go to Jrs for a year or report to campus. However, you could pull a Brandon Martell and lose your ride as well. Are you kidding, the USHL is about 30X higher level then HS. HS hockey for the most part ...

if I was still playing and had the choice I would go to the WHL. However if we are talking USHL I would say hands down the coach of coaches is Jon Cooper in Green Bay. Great coach/staff. Great barn and pretty good fans. Knott in SC is another very good coach, old school like Coop. PK OHandley in Wat...

"If Crash and Marty know their hockey then the AL team must be really bad because everyone knows that any high school JV team in Minnesota can beat half the MJHL teams. "

LOL pal, I guess you have not seen an MJHL game in a while. Thats ok, I am sure you are an expert.

Some pretty good players out of souther minnesota. I have heard rumors of a few more, but I wont post those until they ARE 4Sure. Again, the staff ...

Unless you have paid professional stat keepers, there is always going to be some variance in counts. As far as attendence, I have been to a few Ice Hawks games, each had to have 1000 plus. Plus that rink seats like 4000, so 1500 can look a lot smaller then it really is. They keep gate records in Roc...

Ok, thats what I thought, you just never know on these boards. All is well and good. I wish they would go NAHL as well, they would have a lot of success there and already as you said have a GREAT fan base. From what I have read and heard, and somewhat agree, is that if they were to play in the NAHL,...

Woodley,

Yeah, true we are a little hard on the Peled kid, and he is not the only problem last year in SoMinn. He is still really bad though.

Bennett Schneider is the other really player in question. He was not as bad a player as Peled, but still pretty bad.

B&G I hope you are not ripping Rochester, from what I have heard and know, they have and are busting their balls off to give JR hockey a good name in So Minn. They seem to do things the right way for both the sport and for the players. I am pretty sure I get what you are saying, but wanted to cl...

Snappy,

I hope you know it not about liking the coach, is he going to hold your hand and bring you cookies when you guys loose by 30? Doubt it. Lets see how much you like him when the team that was picked FOR him goes 0 and LIFE.

Good luck kiddo

Crash, REALLY? with the GO OUTLAWS? Less then .500, ok I agree. Yes you are right, it does happen at every level. Saw the Kiel kid play AAA last year, big kid moves well, a little sloppy with the puck. Skates well enough however, and has a mean streak. Little crouse who is a cousin I think, belongs ...

OH NO, ahhhh I had lunch with a father who's son was at the albert lea camp. His son had a good camp, and I will not say if he is on the team or not, but he had the following to say. Apparently they had a few kids from Chicago (owners home town???) who where TERRIBLE, but said they were on the team....

What they are hidding is thier cut lists. The owner owns some Jr B or C teams, and who ever they cut, they want to send there to fill up the teams. A buddy of mine is on staff with a Metro team and tried to get some info on players being let go, they said umm we will see but I doubt it. I talked wit...

I always wonderd how he didnt do more with what he had. Maybe he was a nice guy, I dont know him personally. Well, I dont know much about the ownership of the AL team, so I cannot comment on them, and I am not one to bash anyone. HOWEVER, the latest rumor on the block is there has been a job offer made. To whom I will not say, but it is not what I would call a wise decision for a program. If this person ge...

WOW, if what they say is true, my sources are telling me that indeed the Coach and G.M. are GONZO, but not so sure about the assistant coach. Have not heard if he stuck around or not. My guess would be no, but he might have. What happens now? What happens with all of the draft picks, tenders and cam...

Re: ice hawks

The Ice Hawks are a solid MJHL team nothing beyond that, they were in the easiest pool at Nationals and could not even advance out of that pool. Nationals was a joke, I saw three good teams Polar Bears ok but the NH Monarchs and Jersey Hitmen were on a whole different leval the walked right through...
