DNR vs PEOLE AT THE GARDENS TONIGHT
Which one of these to teams is going to come up victorious and win the battle for their side. I think its going to be the ugliest riot of a game ever in the beautiful Gardens and someone is going to get hurt, dont like the situation at all. Warroad doesnt want rules up here, this is northern Minnesota, why should they have to listen to rules. Lets hope everyone is dressed in full gear

problems
Why are you brining our northern minnesota hick problems onto the message board. It isn't hockey related what so ever....for the exception they had to move the meeting to the Gardens to support the large crowd of angry outdoorsman.

warroad
One other thing, how is this happening tonight with Warroad playing Park Rapids. Is warroad just going to send their bantam team out to the Olympic to take care of business???

Re: funny
The DNR are closing trails to motorized vehicles in the beltrami state forest, Ive heard closing it to horse back also, not sure if that is true, and everyone is super phycho over this because the 57 miles of trail that they will be leaving open is no where near the amount needed for people to pick blueberies and look at the freaking birds. And no, There is no way that the four wheelers cause any damage to trails, all the trail damage is from water, and no again, the four wheelers are not tearing up the grass so that the water can do that damage, lol, that what them hicks sound like up hear. So thats what is going on and there is expected over 2000 people coming to that meeting, I personally think they should sell 50-50 tickets to help out with the youth program, and have the chuck a puck between fights, LMAO. I cant wait for this meeting to be done because Im tired of hearing about it every five minutes, especially from people with no four wheelers and no horses that are just rallying behind the majority.

Re: funny
i personally love how they make the meeting in warroad on the night that the warriors and thier fans will be in trf for thier first sections game. seems interesting to me.

Re: funny
Thanks for the update. I feel your frustration, I spent some time in the Ely area where many similar issues have arisen. Most likely the Sierra Club is involved. They choose to live in the concrete world, let them pick berry's and watch birds there too.

I wish the you folks with "common sense" luck!

PEOLE is PEOPLE without the second P. It is how we spell it in northern minnesota.

Re: funny
xyz, as far as the meeting being on the same night as Warroad's first section playoff game. I personally like to watch as many games as I can but I'm not sure this will be much of a game. Three hours driving time to watch Warroad win by at least 10, not worth it.

DNR vs People
The Beltrami Island State Forest is 670,000 acres, yes, 670 thousand acres. What impact could a few ATV trails possibly have on this environment? The trees, plants, animals, etc. will live or die if GOD wants them to, whether the DNR "manages" them or not.

This issue is about the DNR justifying their existence by pretending they are "managing" the forest.

I am for the ATV riders on this one. This is northern MN, the people need something to do up there, there isn't a hockey game every night.

Good Luck, Peole

Re: DNR vs PEOPLE AT THE GARDENS TONIGHT
The DNR has finally ruffled the feathers of too many outdoorsman. Not only hunters wanting to get back to favorite "hotspots", but outdoor enthusiasts that enjoy using the environment for various purposes.

You will see many Roseau, Warroad, Baudette, TRF people unified in letting the DNR know exactly how they feel. If the DNR does not handle this properly, it will get to be quite an unfriendly crowd towards the DNR!

Enforcement
The DNR has no one to enforce this. 1 or 2 DNR trucks? Come on

Re: Enforcement
How does the dnr expect to log this area without using some type of equipment? Or will loggers be exempt? From what I have seen they do 100 times more damage even though logging is a valuable management tool seems like a double standard.Closing this area to vehicles would make 99% of it inaccessible . The dnr needs to pull their heads out of the treehuggers butts. Not a slam to loggers just making a point. Is the dnr going to patrol this on foot? thats all I have to say about that. LETS PLAY HOCKEY!!!

Good luck to northern Minn. If the DNR gets this one thru who knows where they will go next. They have to much power and have started making their own rules and laws. Who knows maybe you won't be able to drive a zamboni outside if they have their way. They wonder why the public hates them so much??

because the Conservation Officer's job is so boring that the only thing they can come up with to do is Harass Sportsmen
