I see the shots were 32-32. What in God’s name happened? Did Maple Grove play without defense and a goalie?

8-1 final, SOG: 32-28 in favor of HM.

MG had 15 SOG in second period but no goals. HM had nine SOG with four goals in second period. All even strength.

I've got Rogers over MG in 5AA, but I'm a casual fan. Who knows, this could be a wake-up call for MG.

I saw the goals on the NSPN broadcast, but couldn't watch the whole game because I still want to be married. And they were all good goals. MG was just flat footed and HM buried their chances (which isn't really their strength). Game doesn't mean all that much going into sections other than MG knows they need to bring it every night to win and HM knows on the right night they can beat anyone. Or lose to anyone, as we've seen too.

Thanks for the recap, and good assessment of what it means moving forward. MG has played a tough schedule to close out season so maybe they were due for a beat down and a wake up call that they aren’t gonna win by just showing up.

I still think MG needs a good showing against Andover just to go into sections with a little momentum. Better than going in shaky and trying to find answers.

Sounds like MG is still tweaking the line-up, not that it's an excuse for the outcome last night, just a state of their current affairs.
