Saturday games 1/23/16 which game?

Post by elliott70 »

I will be in the Twin Cities on Saturday night and looking at what game I should see.
May try to catch the last part of a3:00 game and then a later one.

Any recommendations?

3 pm game
Benilde-St. Margaret's vs Bloomington Jefferson
Eden Prairie vs Hopkins

7 pm
Edina vs Minnetonka
Maple Grove vs Elk River/Zimmerman
Lakeville North vs Burnsville

7:30
Stillwater Area vs Hill-Murray

Stillwater vs Hill-Murray would be my choice. Best arena and will be the best game atmosphere and a good measure as to how good Stillwater is.

Edina/Tonka, SW/HM best of those.

I'd catch Stillwater/HM. Should be a good one.

But you should probably go catch Mittlestadt versus, uh I mean the EP/Hopkins game. One of the few High School players worth the price of adult admission. Poehling and Tufte being maybe the other 2 I'd shell out the $6-7 bucks for.

The other consideration is I will be at Marriott Mpls West,
probably go over to BIG to see the lasat half of Bemilde and BJ.

Then what would be the easiest to get to after that game and be in close proximity to a very good restaurant. And then easiest back to the Marriott.

I would go see middlestAdt instead of BSM, if you haven't seen him this year

The best night game is HM / SW but that's 40 minutes each way , so you might want to stay in WestMetro and see Edina/Tonka

Hopkins would be right down the street.

I would add Scott Perunovich to this short list.[/quote]

Going to the Eden Prairie - Hopkins game (second half or so)
and then to the Golden Nugget for a burger and beer then
to Edina - Minnetonka.

Good choices! Careful at the Gold Nugget...you might just end up staying there and skipping the double header. It's that excellent.

I was told it is good. But unless they have special entertainment how could I skip the Skippers?

Elliot nailed it. Eden Prairie game but I would hang as long as you can then sprint to the Edina/Tonka match up.

As far as players to pay and see I would advise any HS fan to check their schedules and find away to make a trip to catch Perunovich play. If games run $6 he is worth a prime time rate of double that for sure. He is a special HS player.

Can you confirm the MG @ ER game is at 7? "Ol Reliable" hockeyhub has it listed as noon...which doesn't sound right to begin with. Not that it matters too much since everyone will be at Aldrich, but just so the players don't get confused.
