Preview of 2006
I know not many want to talk about it but with numerous teams seasons coming to an end this week I would like to hear what you think of your team's chances. If Wayzata can find two defensemen to replace Laurenitias and Davis they will definetly be a state contender with both miller and lucia coming back to cause more problems. We only had three seniors on this team.

Re: Preview of 2006
Jefferson should be solid next year as well. They lose many top players (Connely, Overman, Wild, Ruff, etc.), but they have Austin Lee coming back in goal, who is a top 5 goalie in the state right now. Josh Levine returns and should put numbers similar to what Wayzata's Lucia and Miller are putting up this year. Matt LaBombard can put up numbers similar to Overman' numbers this year. Baylor Dieter will be a solid defenseman next year, as long as he can keep his penalty minutes down. Ben Roberts will step up and provide some offense from the point. Look for them to have a similar year to this year next year.

Re: Preview of 2006
There is no need to replace Laurenitias, he has gotten too big to move and all he does now is run around getting penalties. Laurenitias only hurts wayzata.

Roseau
Look for Roseau to start making some noise again. They have a good group comin through the next few years, and there is only one thing that could stop um. And no, it isn't Moorhead.

Re: Roseau
Look for a new 8A champion, I don't think we'll have the power to do it next year

Re: Roseau
This won't even be fair next year, AHA is going to run everyone into the ground.

The lake conference is going to lose alot, Jefferson had (well, has) their year, Apple Valley won't be anything close to what they were, EP will contend #1 again, look for Chaska and Eastview to pull up.

Re: Roseau
I think the only thing holding the Mariucci Conf together next year will be Roseau. Moorhead with all its seniors will lose quite a bit I think. and of course as i just posted we will be down

White Bear will be a solid team next year. They only lose 4 forwards and 3 defensmen. All their goalies return as well. They also have strong players coming up.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

Interesting things in the mix at Jefferson for 2006, hang tight. For now, we can just enjoy this year, as long as it lasts!

Laurinitis
Tali, James is one of the key ingredients if wayzata plans to make another run like last year. You've probably played against him. You know that when there is someone like that on the other team that can get in the heads of players as much as he does, guys don't want to skate anywhere near the corners to get the puck. It's all intimidation.

Re: Laurinitis
HM should be awesome. They only lose 1 forward & 2 defensemen (also lose a 4th line forward & a defensman that don't play). Their freshman goalie will have some experience coming back & suspect a goalie or two may transfer in. I expect they will be a top 5 team next year.

Re: Laurinitis
Nolookpass, I was thinking the same thing about last year. Before this season even started, I looked into the 2006 season. Hill is going to have a lot of talent and experience coming back. You mentioned top 5 material, and you are right. It's very possible next year for the Pioneers to be right up there.

Re: moorhead
Moorhead will be on the downfall, losing 15 seniors, and many of the juniors that will be seniors next year are no good, just Jake Krause, and maybe Andy Stone. Moorhead will be lead by all juniors next year. I don't believe they will go far next year, state tournament yes, but will go nowhere at state.

Next years record for Moorhead--19-5-1<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /tired.gif ALT="|I"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /tired.gif ALT="|I">

But who knows I could be totally wrong!! They should have a decent team next year.
