is this for the upcoming or past season....?
2A

Re: Best Section Goalies
Good point, I have no clue. I'll just go with this year.

1AA- Hmmm, Kangas?<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/grin.gif ALT=" >D">
2AA- Cary Wood
3AA- ???
4AA- Wanvig
5AA- Keaton Smith
6AA- Austin Lee
7AA- Reid Ellingson
8AA- ???

As for 8AA, I haven't done my research. For 3AA, I just don't know. Faust is pretty decent, but like I've said a million times, look at the team in front of him. Roseville's Kriegler wasn't too bad, but he did get smoked in his last high school game. That is also true about Weston Johnson of Centennial.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... Hillfan at: 3/22/05 8:28 am

Re: Best Section Goalies
Section 5AA is close between Impagliazzo and Smith...Smith had better numbers, but look at the team in front of him...if you put Impagliazzo behind the AHA team, his numbers would be amazing...im saying this because he was selected to be on the Great 8 team representing both 5AA and 5A...

Re: Best Section Goalies
You're right hockeyman.

I didn't see much of Keaton during the season, but I do know that he had a great tournament. That's basically why I chose him. But we should give credit to Impagliazzo as well.

Watch for the Hjelle kid to make a huge impact in 7A next year.

Warhol owned him in the two games they played against each other. I don't know if ER knew some secret info (<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/nerd.gif ALT="8o"> ) or what, but they knew how to beat him everytime. Hell, he even got pulled in the first game. I'd go with either Warhol or Krystockndkdfdnadsfiod from Maple Grove <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... lasses.gif ALT="8)">
Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

Re: I Falls
Is Jay Clarke a grad this year, or will LOW have him for a while?

Re: I Falls
jay well be a senior nexted year,, but i hear his brother jon was going to TRF so i dont know if he would go also or stay!!

Re: I Falls
ER good point. I only put Wanvig because of his solid year. But I must say that the section final game I saw, he played terrible, while Warhol did better. And Maple Grove's goalie, I completely forgot about.

Hjelle-is he from the I Falls?
I see Virginia taking sections again next year. Hoche will be back in net. I'm sure he will improve greatly in the off season.
What other teams have returning tenders in 7A?

Best Section goalie

Norling
Norling was the best goalie in the state tournament, and the best in 5A. You could make an argument for Richards, but Norling was a brick wall down the stretch.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... an4Life at: 3/24/05 11:08 am

Re: Best Section goalie
i think kangas was the best goalie in the tourny. Even tho his team didnt go very far he still made 50 saves against wbl, and i think around 45 against moorhead.
The curse lives on.....

For the past season I would have to say Chris "The Wall" Sall. He proved it in the tourney, he beat WBL unlike Kangus, and he almost broke the record against Moorhead.

Re: Best Section goalie
Sall was great as well. Look at Kangas though. He broke the record for most saves in a regulation state tournament game with 50 <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> ! Sall did very well against WBL too, but WBL only had 29 shots on that night....
