Ok, you are disgracing Cloquet. Did you not bother to read down about 10-15 topics?

Get 'em outta here!

I say the seeding will matter greatly. If Cloquet is #1, for the most part they won't be that challenged until the final and at that point the other team they play will be beat up so much. If they are not #1 all bets are off in my opinion.

WRONG. #1 will likelt face Brainerd of Elk River. Brainerd went into Cloquet's barn and more than held their own.

I like the greyhounds to take the section. Leis is solid and their defenseman are good. They have just enough offensive ability. They always seem to make the trip to state. I'm putting my money on them even though they aren't the favorite

My analysis.
A) If Cloquet beats East 2/6
Seeds:
1) Cloquet
2) Duluth East
3) Grand Rapids
4) Elk River
5) Brainerd
6) Forest Lake
7) Andover
8) Cambridge

B) If East beats Cloquet
Seeds:
1) Duluth East
2) Cloquet
3) Grand Rapids
4) Elk River
5) Brainerd
6) Forest Lake
7) Andover
8) Cambridge

Breakdown of teams
Cloquet
Goaltending- 10
Defense- 7
Forward 7
Depth- 7

Duluth East
G- 10
D- 7
F- 7
Depth 8

Grand Rapids
G- 9
D- 7
F- 7
Depth 7

Brainerds (5) wild card is their goalie, he has the potential to stand up and play very well. Unfortunateky the DECC is warmer than Elk Rivers rink where his "goggles" could really steam up and decrease his visability.

Elk River (4) is the dangerous one. I have seen them play 2 times the first time not so hot the second time Martel and Brodhaug both stood up and took names watch out for the Elks. I wouldnt want to play them especially in the Elks barn.

Should be a great run to state for whoever survives!

Well, Elk River beat Brainerd, so Cloquet shouldn't have to worry about that.

If you just look at the Ws and Ls and not at the scores or where they were played Cloquet is the clear favorite no matter what plays out. If there aren't upsets (7AA last year) Cloquet would probably never play the only team that has beaten them so far this year.

I would disagree a little bit here
Grand rapids
G-5
D-8
F-8
DEPTH-8

EAST OR CLOQUET
GR
FLAKE OR ELKS
BARNYARD

East is picking up the Mo and is on the run. =P~
CEC hit a bump on the road but didn't damage the frame :o
GR needs to get its motor running [-X [-X
Brainerd must be the next bump on the road for CEC 8)
Flake and ER gotta be a pray un for CEC @ Brainerd [-o<
the rest....cannon fodder

Goggles the goalie has built in defrosters.

Hey watcher, when did Elk River beat Brainerd??? :? Please tell me when this game took place cause I must have completely missed that one??? If your gonna come on here and add some insight to things, lets get your facts straight. #-o

As for whos going to win the section?? I think that it’s a toss up, CEC being the favorite, but lets be honest here, there are a couple of teams that deserve to be at the show. Who knows, ER or Brainerd could catch fire and be spoilers for the top 3.( Doubt it, but you never know) Should be an interesting tourney and one that will be very fun to watch. Whoever ends up winning the whole thing is gonna deserve it and is going to be a good representative from 7AA. =D>

1) East of Cloquet
2) East or Cloquet
3) Grand Rapids
4) Elk River
5) Barnyard
6) Flake
7) Andover

PastRapids you are on a goaltending rant with Jensen of late. However he is not a 5 any longer more like an 8.5 or 9 as stated. Early in the season the kid was giving up a few softies but of late he has played very well (Hibbing Christmas Tournament, CEC, Hibbing). You ease up with your rant on the kid just a bit as his game has improved since the beginning of the year.

Very professional Lee. I would have given one of the three a 8 on forward or D though just to liven up the thread.

8.5 OR 9 IS STILL ALITTLE HIGH,I WOULD STILL SAY 6-7 hes still not mentally in the game.Gives up 1 goal and goes down hill stay focused

The fan alliance is Cloquet, Elk River, and Grand Rapids fans united against Duluth East. It was a blast last year at the DECC. A lot of Orange and Red on the on the Purple side cheering against the Hounds last year.
