Hey refs what ever happened to charging?

Am I the only one who's noticed that charging no longer seems to be in the rule book? Don't get me wrong, body contact is a big part of the game and when done correctly is a tremendous asset for any player. What concerns me is a player taking 60 foot runs at opponents with the intent of sending the victim into orbit. I've watched well over 200 games at the peewee and bantam A level the last two years and can't recall seeing even one charging penalty called. A good portion of the serious injuries I've witnessed have occured on this type of play. As a youth player in the 70's charging was called almost as frequently as tripping or slashing. This is not a complaint about todays officiating but rather a simple question about rule interpretation. Referee's please respond.
I would hope the other player could see that one coming and MOVE!! I have seen it called a number of times this year and last. The thing is that when a player does happen to charge, 9 times out of 10 there will be another penalty that the player will commit at the same time. Example would be boarding, roughing, elbowing, head check...Yes it does happen and no it doesnt get called ALL the time but the refs are doing their part by calling other things. Would it make you feel better if they called every single one that they see??? Then you could start a new thread about them not calling boarding, elbowing or something else. Come on
