never heard of them until i saw the anoka tourney bracket

not good at all. lost to tartan 20-0 in the super rink tourney and has lost to even worse teams. toilet bowl for sure in the anoka tourney

Having Irondale on your schedule is almost as easy as a forfeit. Poorly run program. They should only field B teams cuz they do not have enough talent to play A. But, I guess they care more about saying they are on an "A" team than actually being competitive in a game.

there amazing they almost beat tarten it was close over the first 5 seconds but after tarten scored there 20th goal i was pretty sure it was over

didnt even stay with in 15 against tartan that is the biggest blowout i have ever seen our team could have our goalie as the only thing on the ice and it wouldn't be this bad

Remember, Irondale has 5 bantam aged players on the high school team and 1 bantam aged player on Totino-Grace's team. With the exception of the Tartan game have they not been pretty competitive???

doesnt bother me i just made this thread to see if they were any good.

i should not say they are an "embarassment" but they lower the expectations of minnesota hockey. They 5 players they have on the high school would not make a huge difference in there season it is just that there goalie who is up there is pretty good and would have kept games closer. Of all the games i have seen they have lost except for when they played johnson they won in 3 ot.

You know, not every team is going to be a Centennial, White Bear, or Edina.
Yes, Irondale takes their lumps playing A level in youth hockey. But that doesn't mean these kids can't learn, develop, and turn it around.

that is a good point but from what i have heard they do not even have enough interest to field teams. Of course everyone is not a white bear or edina or ep but most teams have enough interest to get more than 3 or 4 bantam level teams. We will just see what is going to happen when next year the kids are all back together on the high school team.

irondale would be average if they had Jack healy and lance bortot who both play varsity they also lost a couple other decent skaters

i think irondale should be playing at a B level and not at an A level because if there on a B level they will at least mabe win a couple of games nd mabe even make it past playoffs instead of getting beat 20-0 kije they did against tartan

Iam a coach whos team has played against Lance Bortot who is a nineth grader that is on the irondale high school team. Lance is one of the best goalies i have seen for his age. He is amazingly fast and moves very well . I think if lance would of stayed on his Bantam team theres no doubt that he would give them a better chance against good teams like Tartan.

Lance never actually played bantams, he went to the HS team in 8th grade.
