Who will remain at only 1 loss on the season, Moorhead or Roseville.
It should be a great game tomorrow at Aldrich for the gold division consolation championship.

This will be a great game, but I have to say that Roseville pulls it out in the end. Roseville will exploit Moorheads only weakness... goaltending.
4-3 Roseville.
Wish I could go but I'll be busy at the real championship...

yeah for sure Roseville held their own against AHA. I have a good feeling that Roseville will leave with the W.
Roseville-5
Moorhead-3 (2 from Christian)

The spuds remembered how to play hockey in the Jefferson game, I'll take them by 2.

The Spuds wins against WBL and East don't look nearly as impressive now that those teams have played some other tough competition. Todays game against Roseville, will go a long way to showing Moorhead where they are at. I don't think the Centenial game was a fluke, it just pointed out some of the weaknesses.
Any updates on this one yet?

I thought the game was actually closer than the final score. Both teams are fast and play good defense. Two of Moorhead's goals came from wrist shots just inside the blue line. I think Roseville's goalie was screened on both or they were deflected. I didn't hear any shot totals. Either they didn't announce them or I missed them when I was on my phone. Either way, I'm pretty sure the Spuds had the edge in shots.

This should be a wake up call for Roseville. They have a few things to work on in the second half of the season, but will hopefully improve with the experience of the tournament.
Moorhead looked very solid in the game.

Some people have been talking that Moorhead isn't as good as their ranking but I think the proved with two big wins back to back that they are deserving of a Top 3 ranking. After the tournament I would say that that the rankings are as follows:
1.Cloquet
2.AHA
3.Moorhead
4.Hill Murray
5.Centennial

Moorhead goals by:
Christian, Thielen, Foss, Ambrosie
Duncan played another solid game in the nets for the Spuds. Doesn't look like the Spuds weakness is goaltending anymore.

I thought Ducan kept them in the game in the 2nd period against Centenial, but he also gave up some cheap ones later on. I've only been able to see two games so far, Centenial and WBL and in both games Ducan seems to lose focus and give up some cheap goals.
If Moorhead is finally going to win it all, they will have to improve in a number of areas. consistant goaltending, 2nd and 3rd lines have to step up their level of play and the defense has to limit the turnovers.
It would have been interesting to see how the Spuds would have matched up against the Stars. Honestly, I think they would have been beat, but I would liked to see how they match up line for line. I think first lines would be a wash, but AHA depth would cause Moorhead some problems and I don't see Ducan stealing a game for us at this point in the season.
Still a long season ahead.
