Who's going to win this tourney? Eagan has a very good team this year but Woodbury is defending champs and coming off a big win v. WBL. Or will another team win it all?

the championship will be in the semifinals between eagan and woodbury... they should have matched them up for the finals

I would have to agree with Stars67 on this one after scoring three late goals against Duluth East last Saturday with 8 minutes left they must be pretty syicked and encious to get on the ice again.
Leading the Tornadoes into the tournment is John O'Neill 10 5= 15p, Cory Belisle 6 6=12p,Berkley Scott 2 9=11p, and Ryan Noonan 4 7=11p.

Anoka has a one goal win in Duluth which is nice, against an East team who hasn't been doing too well this year and nothing else impressive on their 6-2 start. I say they make it to the final and compete but not win.

I will take Eagan in this one....anoka is not ready to be in the elite class as of this time. Eagan will be too much and hshockeywatcher is right.

looks like eagan didn't come ready to play, they lost 5-3 to hopkins. Anoka beat johnson 5-2. SSP had an easy game against johnson. and in Woodbury game they won 10-0 against NSP, if you can even call that a game. So with eagan out who will be in the finals?

Couldnt have been that easy. Anoka got outshot 14-5 in the second period.

in the north st paul game... was it that nsp just sucks... or is woodbury good enough to beat a middle of the pack team that bad..? i think this is woodburys year... they are goign to win this tourney.. and i think they have a good chance at state this year... watch out coem playoffs...

i agree... woodbury is coming off their best year as a school last year and they returned most of their big guns this year... they beat NSP 10-0 with their backup goalie in and running their 3rd powerplay the whole game... even though theve made there way to number 14 in state i still belive there underrated. Hill murray woodbury would be a fun game to watch... both teams would agree

They came quite close last year to beating Cretin for the 2AA title.

eagan is possibly the most overrated team ever in minnesota high school hockey history... they have 6 captains... there goalie is shakey at best they cant break out on the powerplay to save there lives and lipinkski gained weight....

Anybody getting excited about Woodbury pounding NSP yesterday should probably calm down... NSP is about 2 steps behind every other team in this tourney - and that includes Johnson and Kennedy which are nothing special. I would be willing to bet NSP loses the 7th place game to Kennedy by 3 goals. Woodbury should have put them away with no problem.
They better make sure to strap it up against Hopkins though - they looked surprisingly good yesterday and were even able to dominate Eagan at times.
Its hard to base anygthing off of the game yesterday, so I'll stop short of saying they can't give CDH a run, but to answer the question asked earlier... yes, NSP is that bad.

Yoo, Woodbury played their best games of the year in the CDH games and still lost. this will be no different if Cretin is ready to play. If they already have themselves in the tourney, then Woodbury may have a chance. They blew it when they lost Moore.

stop saying things you know nothing about
they didnt even play that well the section final game
you are pretty confident huh
how can you say they lost it when moore left when lastyear was their best season?

I have seen them play a few times this year and I don't get where you get this opinion from, what games did you see them play?? and how does having 6 captains relate to them being overrated? To me this sounds like some one who is bitter over a loss or not being on the team, i think they had only one loss before the holiday break, to me thats pretty good.
