It's great to see a kid who's playing for a 'weaker' team (Woodbury is 1-7 in the Sub.East), and who didn't bail out to Cretin or Hill like many of her teammates, get rewarded. Obviously numbers aren't everything.

Can anyone give me more info about this player, her style of play is she from Woodbury, or new to the area this year? I'm asking b/c It's odd to follow the game and not at least know a little about a kid who is recruited by a D1 school. Was she at Jr Fest, or NDP try-outs? I don't remember seeing her there as well.

According to Coach Halldorson, the only Minnesota girls signed as of now to play hockey for the Gophers are Rasmussen and May. Perhaps she was signed for another sport? If this was meant as a cruel joke, shame on you!
