Cary Wood, and Doran will upset Hill, not Tartan.

tartan has to rest and get some stuff figured out before the game but other than that they are doing really well so far (7-1-0) and comming off a 5-3 victory over richfield, but hill is also (8-1 over north?) it will be a big game with a lot of big surprises.
yah

not sure of their record... but
If Wood can keep the goals out... and Tartan plays some D.. and gets a break or somthin with a goal.. maybe they can pull it off.. In all of there games so far tartan has not let in more than 3 goals a game, and woods SV% has been over 90 for each game. Think its round 92-93 at the moment. Tartan also plays better for big games such as the Century game.. Either way.. will be a fun game sat.

yea no biggy. i think one of the key factors in the possible upset is hill may underestimate the titans and not come fully prepared to handle doran, wood and the rest of the titans

I am getting SOOO sick of this tartan crap. Yea you beat century, good for you. Yea you are 7-1, not bad. You don't have to keep repeating it. You guys better hope that Hill doesn't tear you boys a new one because I can't wait to rip on you guys if they stomp you.

I just don't see how Hill can possibly stay with this powerhouse known as the Titans of Tartan. Tartan has steamrolled everyone so far, with the exception of Woodbury. The reason for that loss is that all of Tartan's players were on the football team that lost in the section finals so they didn't have their skating legs yet. Also, Woodbury is a top notch club.
There is no way HM will be able to throw out 4 balanced lines like Tartan has. The Titans come at ya in waves! Everyone knows Wood bypassed leaving high school this year to play in Ann Arbor to remain with his friends and take a shot at winning it all. He knew this team would be something special.
Hill has struggled coming out of the gates so far this season. Goals are sparse and goaltending is an issue. Furne is seeing little or no icetime and regrets transferring to a club with so little talent. Behind the scenes, his parents are petitioning the High School League to allow the re-transfer back to "Tartan Country" without a penalty.
I'm sure Aldrich will be full with a sea of blue as their large fan support will look to add another victim to their list. I can see the Titans show their usual sportsmanship and pull back the reigns in the 3rd period during running time. Tartan 15 Hill 1.

WARNING TO ALL FANS.
COME EARLY.
Tartan - Hill-Murray games are one of the longest running rivalries in the nation. These teams, correct me if I'm wrong, first met in 1845. They actually played their first game on Lake Phalen where Tartan won 36-1. Granted the Hill kids weren't wearing skates that day as they thought it was a broomball game. Seeing as Tartan leads the all-time series 146-32-2, it is clear Hill, once again, is properly shuddering in their boots (err skates).
So the truth is, when that 35,000 large, wave of blue descends on Aldrich arena to watch their 4 time defending state champs on Saturday, there won't be any room for you and me. Tartan is the one club that bring so many fans Hill only gets one section for their own fans to sit in and we have to SHARE it with THE BAND. A sad day indeed.
I have it from an inside source the reason Carey Wood is so dominate is that he keeps a stuffed parrot named "Ozzie" in the net when he plays, ala Tino Lettieri. I am unaware if this has ever caused a bench clearing brawl. Look for Wood to outscore H-M himself with 3 to 4 goals as he likes to skate out on power plays.
Tartan, like Moorhead and WBL plays an exceedingly hard non-conference schedule. Trust me, I was more then amazed when Wood shut out the Buffalo Sabres in early October. And the 4-3 series win, be it exhibition or not, over the Soviet National team were some games for the ages.
Is anyone else bothered by all the banners the Tartan fans bring to the games? I know you have a state record 32 State titles. But do you need to always flaunt it? Does it bother anyone that half of Tartan's team are Brazillians? Doesn't that scream of RECRUITING?
I heard some Tartan Boosters were less then pleased FSN chose not to televise this game. In fact, the word I heard was that FSN has been told, in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS, they will televise EVERY Tartan game next year. But the guy who told me this swore UP AND DOWN that the BEST PART was that the TV COVERAGE was not to just be at every TARTAN game, but to tape the game in such a way that the other team doesn't actually ever show up on the screen. BRILLIANT.
Well, I'll be honest. As a cowered Hill fan, I hope we can keep them under 35. And if we happen to get a shot past Wood, I may faint. I heard he might make the jump from High School straight to the Pro Hockey Hall of Fame after he graduates in 2020. Anyway, see you all there.

Daunting task that it may be, I feel Hill might reach into their bag of tricks for this one, and eek out a 6-2 victory.

Tartan beat Irondale 2-1. Here's an emoticon depicting the action.
Hill fans, be very afraid...
