Peewee A should come down to 3-4 teams-

Champlin Park- Let one of their better player move to Bantam?
Rogers- Some talent but may not adapt well to new rules. Lots of penalties.
Centennial- Not as skilled as the others but they work hard and play the best as a team.
St Cloud- Depends how the teams are divided up.

If I had to bet I would put my money on Centennial.

All I know is that St. Cloud's Youth Hockey Program is going downhill very fast, you might as well count them out of this until they get a new president and new program.

Champlin

One of the better players if not the top player from Champlin was allowed to move up to Bantam before tryouts. Not sure why. I think he has a sibling that is bantam age.

Yes, I agree with State of Hockey that St Cloud shouldn't be very strong this year at the A Peewee level. Two years ago their A Squirt team was a pretty good team, but they now have two A Peewee teams therefore diluting their talent. If they had only one team they would be more competetive.

Champlin Park lost a 2nd year Defenseman this year as well. He moved to Elk River and is on their A Peewee team.

I would replace St Cloud with Elk River as contenders. Elk River's Def. is all 2nd year players and their goaltending is above average, so they should be very competitive.

Basically it will be Rogers title to lose at the A Peewee level. Although they are very talented, there are some hot heads on that team, so they probably will get a lot of penalties and beat themselves. We will see.

Don't under estimate Anoka either, they are young but very fast. Their big problem will be Goaltending. This is a huge issue in the Anoka Association, and will continue to be an issue until they start to work with and develope their goalies.

Predicted A Peewee Finish:

1. Rogers
2. Elk River / Centenial
3. Anoka
4. Champlin Park
5. And the rest of them.

Rhino,

I saw the game against Anoka. 3-0 after 3 shots. Solid goaltending.
ER maybe will be .500

Good Luck,

Cambridge is the worst team in the district! See the score against St Cloud Red (st cloud red 3 - Cambridge 1). And St. Cloud is watered down with two "A" Teams.

ER hasn't played Anoka yet, so I have no idea what the previous post means :P

Cambridge the worst team?

Cambridge BEAT Elk River. If Cambridge is the worst, that makes Elk River a condenter?

I meant Coon Rapids, not Anoka a previous post. My mistake.

Rhino, I'm not from Cambridge.

Elk River's GAA after 3 games it 2.000. Is that bad goaltending? In the Coon Rapids Game the starting Goalie gave up 3 goals early, and was replaced. If you were there and watched the game, you should have seen that it wasn't all the goalies fault. After the goalie was pulled Coon Rapids had 4 shots on goal until mid way through the 3rd period.

None the less one or two games don't make a season. At the end of the season I will be sure to send you an email to remind you where Cambridge ended up in the standings vs ER.

I still stand by my earlier post the Elk River, Centennial and Champlin Park will have the best overall goaltending / def in D10 APW this year.

Regarding the Cambridge Game if you were there and seen it, ER was short handed over 1/2 the game, so take it as you will but the Ref came into play in that game. If Cambridge was any good they would have beat ER by more then 3 goals. I believe that had a 5 on 3 PP for over 5 minutes at one point, and only scored one goal.

Rhino,
One of St. Cloud's so called "watered down teams" (St. Cloud Pee Wee A Red) lost last night to #3 Maple Grove in the last few minutes of the game by a score of 4-5.

Don't count St. Cloud Red out.

WE ALL HAVE TO GO THRU IT....Grow up.....When a player's off there off...Simple fact...they're 11-13...or 13-14...What's next the teams going thru a growth spirt???

D10 PWA teams are extreemly weak this year. On any given night they all have a chance to beat each other. I do agree that Cambridge is by far the weakest team in the district. Don't be surprised if a team with 6 losses wins the district. I haven't seen all the teams this year but here are my predictions:

Champlin Park
Elk River
Centennial
Rogers
Coon Rapids
Andover
Anoka
St. Cloud Red
Blaine
St. Cloud Black
Cambridge
