I'm glad to see the Ponies entered. Watched them in the Schwan Cup the last few seasons. I'm not sure what to expect from them...not sure they'll be as strong as last season but bottom line, I believe they'll be a very competitive team. It'll be interesting and fun to watch them in such a strong field.

More balanced attack, and I think that while the loss of some great players is tough, that can also bring a team together to be even stronger. Some great young talent in that program too. Should be fun to watch these next few years!

Sometimes a team is better after a superstar leaves. CDH made it to the State Tournament the year after Erin Keys graduated. The loss of a great player like Keys forces everybody else to step up their game. A great player on a team sometimes reults in teammates waiting for her to score the big goal; instead of doing it themselves. Note: the team that made it to State replaced one Keys with another and had a couple other key freshmen on the team.

This was somewhat of the scenario I was thinking of. It's also harder for an opponent to stop a team vs one player. Not certain that a couple 50-60-70+ pt scorers are better than 3-6+ 20-30-40 pt scorers.

We should note that Jobman did a heck of a job in nets for CDH too - especially last year I thought.

And, year-to-year the sections change as do the quality of the opponents on that road to state.

I also think Jeff Keys is a very good coach, and that too helps.
