I am finally going fishing this weekend.

Where are you fishin? Hows the bite? How deep are you fishin? What are you guys catchin and on what?

I was up in the Bemidji area last weekend and the locals said they were "SLAYING" the all mighty Walleye on Cass lake using the good old dependable Lindy rig with a leach!

I did well with a jig and a shiner at Cass on opener.

The fishing was great over Memororial Day. We were up in Deerwood fishing the local lakes.

We caught bass, northern and crappie.

Bass hit on plastic worms, 5-10 feet right in the weeds, Texas Rig. I also caught a northern with that set upo but it snapped my line..no leader.

Northern we caught on jigs(mostly white) and sucker minnows, 10-15 feet off the weed edges.

Big Crappies were hitting minnows about 6-7 feet deep suspended in 10 feet.

We released all of the fish except for 6 nice sized crappies and man were they good.

I've mentioned on here before, another good board to go to is..lakestatefishing.com or lsf.com....weather it's fishing or hunting it's good place to be..

I used to fish...A LOT!!!!

Go fishin and take your girls with. Force them in the boat. You wont regret it.

i went to red lake in the spring and cought a hefty amount of walters and my cusin went up there about 2 weeks later just wondering if anyone else hit the lake and didnt have any luck......and i was also wondering if anyone has been up there ice fishin and had any luck??
