Good, it will be nice to see some competition for once, excluding AV who put a very good game in the finals.
Go Buffs

I know Rosemount had a good Bantam team, he might have been referring to that.

Now I don't know much about their team but I talked to one player on Eagan and he said that they will be better next year. Obviously he is a little biased but that could be a team to watch out for.

I've been hearing things here and there about Rosemount's team next year. I hear they are supposed to be strong with a lot of returning seniors, and some good Bantam players that should step up. Anyone else hear this?

Rosemounts team was mostly Juniors this year...about 12-14, so they are returning many players who held close games in one of the toughest conferences in the state...for 2 straight years, after they kicked the cancer off their team CONBOY...they started to win...look for that to carry over into next year...Watch out

I agree with hockeyguy. Rosemount did hold many close games for the past two years, and even came up with some impressive wins in the Lake this season. They may be a team to be reckoned with next season...?

Rosemount will not be in a position to challenge AHA in sections - not even close! Nowhere near the depth of speed required. 5AA continues to be too soft a section for my taste. If the MSHSL had been smart, they would have taken AHA and the top tier of 6AA and distributed them evenly between the two sections.

Rosemount

We've heard for the last few years how good Rosemount will be.....from their coach who gets publicity for some reason, players, and fans. Coach makes comments about how they will go to state, win the lake and all this other stuff. Talks about his D1 "prospects" that go nowhere. When will they actually be decent?? They do have a good Bantam team but High School hockey is a whole different story especially come playoff time. If they will be good I'm happy for them and it would make the lake conference more interesting. I guess it's bound to happen one of these years.

No way

Rosemount everyone every year talks about how they are going to win the lake and go into state, has it happened? no. Rosemount needs to change something around they said a new coach would do it and look at last year one of their best players left the team. They continue to play their cheap play taking stupid penalties and are a bunch of hacks, i dont see them being what they always talk them selves up to be for a very long time.

I really don't think it is that weak of a section. Who does Moorhead have in their section that makes it any tougher? Same with 1AA and 2AA. There are a lot weaker sections. What depth do these sections have that makes it tougher, same with the Tartan section? Lets just face it, there isn't as much depth in any of the sections anymore because high school hockey isn't as deep as it was 5 years ago due to players leaving for juniors.

Plus, AV and EV gave AHA really good games and AHA won the whole thing, so that doesn't mean a weak section.
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!

yeah, but from what I've heard it was closer than the score. And it's not like EV didn't give AHA good games in the past few years. Teams go up and down so it's not a good idea to change sections just yet.
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!

well i wasnt at the game.. but who sayd anything about changing that section.. theres no way to make equal sections, because i think theres only 10 teams that can even dream of competing for the state title each year... and half of those are long shots
