ok, someone tell me why it's like if you weren't in the invitational, you're no good. Im on the ice hawks, and we beat a team from the invitational to get to the championship (which we won), and they're in a top 10, but we're not?????????????? so wats up <p></p><i></i>

The difference between invitational and open is most of the open teams are showcase and most of the invitational teams are private. The showcase teams are about b1 or b2 level. The private teams are the actual AAA teams. In showcase all you have to do is get a coach to sign your team up and your on. ...so the AAA Ice Hawks are a B1 team? funny. and with showcase AAA you have to try out or get scouted, so yea you cant just sign up. <p></p><i></i>

You weren't but a lot of teams are like that so you make assumptions. If a winter coach just signs his team up they are all not going to be AAA hockey players, maybe some will but not the whole team. With independant teams they recruit everyone or pick up players from a tryout, so everyone on the team is a AAA player.<br><br><!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :hat --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p></p><i></i>

id have to agree with that. my team last year was, and i admit, terrible. but i guess that wasn't really the reason we were so bad. our coach just wanted his son to be able to compete with the guys on the team, and his son played B2. but i still dont understand why no one will give us credit, just because we're not an "independent" team.

Once you do good in a inviational tourney you'll get credit, but until you do that you won't get much attention.

I believe that a lot of the independant AAA teams are about the same if not worse than the best showcase teams, but the best Independants are better. I would like to see the Ice Hawks play in an invite and see how well they fare. I think they would do pretty good.
