you guys need to grow up some programs don't have A teams and other times kids are right on the bubble and turn out to be good H.S players just becuase you are on the B team does not mean you are bad so let him sit ask it if people want to pitch in if its people like you don't repleay you dont have to look at this thread i know of many hockey players that didn't play A that went on to be in the top 20 in the state in scoring made state tourny apperences and played college hockey..

Yes, please grow up. Drop the A/B mentality. #2 (Paquette) from Luverne (same team as original poster, I think) could skate with anybody at any level. Strong and fast with amazing puck handling ability. I've seen him play several times this year. He could excel on many high school teams. He'll be something. No, I'm not a Luvernite; I just enjoy watching good players.

His team only has something like nine skaters, a couple who, I believe, just started skating this year, so that they could have a team. Good luck at state, Luverne. What an accomplishment. I hope you guys have a great time.

dude is right, and right now, there are quite a few players that never played "A" hockey that are occupying spots on highschool teams at that first and 2nd line over "A" players.
even in the nhl gary suter, if i remember right, he never played travel or "A" hockey.

It's all about who works hard in the off season and improves. The program I play in the bantam tryout was VERY close. There were a few players that made B that would be playing A hockey at most programs in the state. Also, just because you make bantam A's doesn't guarantee you a spot on varsity. A lot of time players that make B and are disappointed work harder. This gives them drive and desire to train harder to get that spot on varsity.

Paquette is amazing...even off the ice. He, along with the other teammates are the nicest guys you'd ever meet. As for the comment of A vs. B. There is a reason. We didnt' have enough players in Oct and were not going to have a team. But two new first year skaters come out as FRESHMAN, they pulled two 7th graders up and we did not have a goalie. Someone volunteered to be a goalie and now we are headed to state. Dreams can come true. They all play with heart and soul.... Go underdogs!

Wayzata Blues first line is incredible. Got about twelve goals alone against osseo.
Princeton has a very strong first line, but after that they have nothing.

Borgesen from edina number 13 has got to be the best D in B. Hes got a cannon from the point and has the biggest hits in all of bantam b. Not to mention his many points. He is also great at rushing the puck when his team needs him. Hes the most unstoppable D I've ever seen.

The best player is by far Steiny from Wayzata . He has an unbelievable hip check that crushes anybody who tries to go by him. He also just stands people up and as a cannon of a snap shot and he can keep it low. I don't think anybody got by him in Regions. You could tell EP didn't know how to play a D like that and I don't think a lot of the teams in state will know how.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... gopher4 at: 3/14/06 3:31 pm

Steiny does all the little things perfect. He doesn't get the glory, but without Steiny, Wayzata would struggle on Defense. All of the defensemen are solid, but Steiny is the best of the best. He gives the best effort you can give day in and day out and smiles while he does it. Hodges is good, but not as good as Steiny. If there was an MVP of the year award, it should go to this kid without a doubt.

hey Stieny is good but the true D on wayzata is 14. I have never seen a kid play 2 way hockey like him. 14 can skate end to end on anyone at B level. He also leads the D in points.

14 doesn't go all out everytime he hits the ice, and he doesn't play the body. He's all talk and doesn't always back it up. When he does play his best he can be pretty good.

Hey Mnhckyscout, I'm not Steiny. I haven't mentioned my name once in this whole thing. You're probably one of those kids who thinks they know everything, but in reality, they know nothing.
