I know most of the events. It's just like the baseball, tennis, and fastpitch threads. Who is good and what's exciting about it?
Grand Rapids-2006 State Runner Up

Mike Torchia from Rochester Lourdes is the premier distance runner in the state..i think he clocked a 9:14 2 mile the other day. Rob Finnerty from Burnsville is also very good as well as Elliot Heath from Hopkins. Jon Boyd is the favorite in the sprints from Mankato East though he has had some eligibility problems. Teamwise, AA your good teams are Eden Prarie, Lakeville North, and Mounds View. Class "A" is pretty much up in the air though Plainview is solid this year as well as my squad Int'l Falls, i would not be suprised to see us win True Team State as well as regular state. just so you know..Section 7 has won the class A team title the past two years (hermantown)

Boblee if ive read enough posts i would have to guess your from Grand Rapids. Grant Gibeau and the Miedtke(sp) twins are the best athletes on the rapids squad.

Track is the 3rd best sport ever. Behind the king, hockey, and the tuition payer, football.
boblee...for MN track & field ratings and such check out this site:

I assume for ratings you meant in the events themselves, cuz there are no team rankings in track. Well, not that I know of atleast.
I believe Hussein finished in the top 2 or 3 in the 800 last year at state, and Hassen Mead runs the 1600 and 3200. He finished poorly last year, someone was telling me he really wasn't use to the weather here and the state meet was less than ideal conditions.
