3 fishermen go to the hotel and get a room, it costs $30. They each give $10 and go to their room. The attendant then remembers they had a "special" and the room was supposed to be $25. He gives the bellhop 5 one dollar bills and says give this back to those fishermen. On the way up to the room the bellhop realizes he can't split $5 evenly between 3 people, so he decides to give the fishermen $1 each and keep $2 for himself. He gets to the room and gives them each $1 back. This means, each fisherman has now paid $9 each for the room, or $27, Right? its obviously still not even. 2 of the men paid 9 dollars and the other man payed 10. <p></p><i></i>

There isn't another dollar. The fishermen have really paid 27 dollars, but not all to the room, 25 of it has gone to the room, then 3 back to them, and 2 to the bellhop, all the money is there. <p></p><i></i>
