Good move!<br><br><!--EZCODE AUTOLINK START--><a href="http://www.minnesotahockey.org/news/new ... <!--EZCODE AUTOLINK END--><br><br>2nd Annual Minnesota Hockey Advanced Goalie Camp - July 27-30, 2006 <br><br>Minnesota Hockey’s second annual advanced goalie camp set for July <br><br><br>The second annual Minnesota Hockey Dave Peterson Advanced Goalie Camp is scheduled for July 27-30, 2006 at the Schwan SuperRink in Blaine.<br><br><br>The most talented goalies from the 2006 Boys Advanced 15-16-17 programs along with the same age girls from the USA Hockey/Minnkota District Lake Placid Development Camps and the Advanced 15 Festival will be invited to participate. The camp will be limited to 48 goalies and will be filled on a first-come, first served basis. Invitations will be sent this spring.<br><br><br>“We are looking forward to providing a wonderful development opportunity for these goalies,” said Steve Carroll, the Minnkota District Goalie coach-in-Chief who is organizing the event.<br><br><br>The coaching staff will feature the most prominent and well-respected goalie instructors in Minnesota and USA Hockey. They’ll provide the boys and girls with the professional goalie training and guidance they need to reach their goals.<br><br><br>“Our first camp was a huge success and we are planning to make this year’s program even better,” Carroll said.<br><br><br>Last year at the inaugural goalie camp, the guest goalie instructors included Steve Carroll, Des Christopher, Steve Guider, Jen Hanley, Adam Hauser, Robb Stauber and David Weninger. Other goalie coaches who worked the camp were Bill Corbo, Steve Houge, Jackie MacMillan, Tom Peart and Bob Rajanen.<br><br><br>“We’re excited because many of these coaches have expressed interest in helping again,” said Carroll. “Plus there are some other talented goalies coaches who have inquired about joining the staff.”<br><br><br>Minneapolis native Dave Peterson was an international hockey coaching legend. He was a long time boy’s hockey coach at Minneapolis Southwest High School. He guided several U.S. National teams to success against International hockey competition. Dave served as head coach of the 1988 and 1992 U.S. Men’s Olympic Hockey Teams. Dave was also a passionate leader in goalie development not only in Minnesota but across the United States. Many of his ideas and concepts are still being used today by USA Hockey. <br><br><br>Minnesota Hockey is honored his family has agreed to lend Dave’s name in support of this exciting new goalie development program.
