Can't really begin to guess the outcomes of this section. If all teams come to play & bring the "A" game all should be excellent and entertaining games to watch.

GO PONIES!!!

Whoever wins this section will have won two do-or-die games in a row, over top competition. Especially the #2 vs. #3 winner. That's a major tough section.

Lots of great Goaltending in this section and some amazing players. Should again be a great section to watch semi's on too (like 6)...

Edited by: <A HREF=

According to the StarTribune...
"Girls' hockey: Class 2A, Section 3 semifinals. The most competitive section in the state. Centennial vs. North St. Paul, 6 p.m., and Blaine vs. Stillwater, 8 p.m. Both games at Inver Grove Heights Vets."

MSHSL site says Fogerty. Anybody know where it really is?

Well the only section without an upset in AA is section 3.

Can NSP pull off the upset on Saturday?

-Home ice for Stillwater.

-Both teams dissapointed at sections last year.

-Seniors key to both teams success.

I think NSP pulls off the upset in a 1 goal win (3-2 or 4-3).

I think this game comes down to if the D & G can keep the hi scoring F's off the board... Or, comes down to which G & D is better as F's are awesome on both teams...

I think NSP is going to pull it off. With their 2 awesome forwards and Scavo in goal, I don't see the ponies being able to get it done.

I like Stillwater's chances to win the section better than in either of the two previous seasons. Better, more experienced team...playing well at the right time. That's what will be key for both, playing to their best abilities...playing their best game. Pretty obvious I s'pose. I think Stillwater is the best team I've seen this season with the one exception being EP. When it comes to an analysis of F, D & G I don't see the Ponies at a disadvantage to NSP in any of those areas. Nor do I see NSP as anything resembling an underdog (per rankings). Should be a heckuva game...I'll be there. Who's going?

Edit: So I'm going with a Pony victory...1-2 goal(s)

Edited by: <A HREF=

I agree they are very even. Whichever team can contain and frustrate the playmaking of the others teams top line will be a contributing factor. Should be a great game.

IMHO what likely will be a deciding factor is the ability to counterpunch with a breakaway or shorthand goal(s).
