Well I'm going to catch the Edina game tonight. I say
Edina 3-2 HM over

11/17 games

NP v. Mankato West; closer than many think. West has decent D and really good goalie. NP by 1.

Holy Angels by a lot over Totino-Grace. Totino has real depth problem from what I saw.

Centennial v. SSP. Could be the best game of the night. Toss-up in a goalie battle.

Well SSP thoroughly dominated Centennial. shots were like 40-14. McCready kept Centennial close but they never had much of an offensive threat to SSP goalie all night.

What a game for my handle - it's not easy being green....

Edina 3 Hill-Murray 3

Being "green" but from the Edina side of the ice, I thought our girls looked very tentative for about the first 2 periods. They appeared to be thinking of the 10 penalties called on them Tuesday against Stillwater. The refs didn't know which green team to call penalties on so they called very few. (I didn't grow up here but my observations lead me to suspect H-M is loved by the general public almost as much as Edina.)

H-M scored first and it was a see-saw battle all the way. One of H-M's goals deflected off the skate of one of our D's - the goalie never had a chance on that one. So maybe the final score could have been different.

Oh well, that's my Edina Whiner moment for today!

Was nice to see Tai get some camera time on Ch 5 tonight. Same too for HM's Stumpf.

Last night's AHA - Totino tilt

by Brett11
AHA over Totino 8 - 4.

AHA dominated. The score was much closer than the game. Totino's goals came as a result of odd man rushes due to AHA's defensive agressiveness. Anna McDonald scored on two very impressive end to end runs.

For AHA, Lynn Hillen had 4 goals and 2 assists. Loren Smith had 3 goals and 3 assists. The other AHA goal came from the D 9nth grader Romatoski. AHA looked like they were still experimenting the whole game with line combos and penalty kill options.

pretty good prediction, ladyjacket. It was a close game. Mayo dominated early, Hibbing late. It really could have gone either way.

BTW ladyjacket, how did your girls beat Roseville?! You've got a couple outstanding girls on defense, but I'd have bet on Roseville in that game. Congrats to your girls on a good weekend.

wow it was a very great game both teams played great roseville has a very nice team hibbing started out slow but picked up there game at the end of the 1st period and they carried it over through the rest of the game. yes hibbing has some very nice defense girls and also they have some good offense girls. they have come together to play as a team this yeas as the goals should be spread out nicely.
