Final.
I really can't put my finger on this Hill team through 4 games. The concerning: there's been a bit of a power outage on offense the last 3 games. The promising: the D seems locked in and Hanggi is looking good. The good: they don't have a loss. The bad: I haven't felt like any of these 4 games are representative of the #2 team in state that wants to compete for a championship. Plenty of time to round into form.....
I'll be looking to get to Aldrich a few times in the coming weeks. Hope to see some friendly board faces.
This is not, so far, the offensive juggernaut that last year's team was. But it is a young squad, two sophs were starters. The Rogers D was pretty tight around the net for most of the games, not giving up many rebounds. Rogers had the edge in the first, Hill in the second. The third was pretty wide open. Four goals in three games, including two full overtimes, is pretty light. If Zasada is in Spokane, we lose this game.BlueLineSpecial wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 6:30 pm Hill 1

I still have faith in "America's team", your Hill-Murray Pioneers.East Side Pioneer Guy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 7:33 pmThe sun rises in the east...SEC Scotty wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 6:48 pmProbably a bit over rated.BlueLineSpecial wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 6:30 pm Hill 1

This win came out of nowhere for EP. I'd bet nobody had them winning this game, not even when it went to OT. Their defense could use some work but it's more bend and don't break. Most of the productivity comes from the Konrad, Thompson and Petersen line so if they are going to make any sort of noise they're going to need more productivity from the others. Not going to get into the details but they are also without one of their top players for what seems to be the foreseeable future so somebody is going to have to step up here over the next few games.SpreadOut! wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 7:21 pm Eden Prairie 5-4 in OT over Maple Grove. EP, which hadn’t won coming into game but was scoring at a 50% clip on the powerplay, scored on their first four power plays of the game. The only PP MG killed was EP’s 5th one of the game. MG was better team even strength, outscoring EP 4-1 (EP’s lone even strength goal was OT winner), but MG just kept insisting on giving EP powerplays. MG doesn’t have a lot of fire power offensively past their first 4 or so forwards. Today was the first game MG’s goalie, Skanson, didn’t save more than 90% of the shots he faced. Unless MG’s offense awakens, MG will only go as far as Skanson takes them. EP looked good for being a winless team (very good powerplay) but they need to produce more offensively when playing even strength to contend with Tonka, Shakopee and Chanhassen (an early season surprise team) to compete in 2AA.
