Being bold on Elk River. Their top D-man left half way through the season and they've gone 4-8 in their last twelve, including losses to Sartell, Moorhead and STMA. If they get by Buffalo, which is a big if, I just don't see them travelling to Roseau and upsetting the Rams again this year.

So I went with that one.

You were right, I was wrong. Judging by the box score looks like Elks goalie had a game. You know what they say about hot goalies and playoffs.

The Elks also got a great break on their 2nd goal. A shot by an Elk deflected off a Buffalo player and hit the safety netting behind the goal. Bounced out to the front of the net and another Elk shot for a goal. Most players on both teams stopped playing knowing the puck was out of play. Refs missed it and the Elks were able to hold on. Packed it in, blocked a ton of shots and threw pucks. I believe their first shot of the 3rd was the Empty Net goal to seal it.

Never would have happened in 7AA…

Exactly. In 7AA they would have gotten out to a two goal lead, then taken a bunch of dumb penalties and end up losing by one.
