HM wins 2-1 over Eden Prairie.

Well, I can say one thing for both teams. They both have a lot of room for growth this season. Wasn't a pretty game and neither team is setting the world on fire anytime soon. HM had the better play in the first, in which they scored their two goals, EP was the better team in the second where they got their goal. HM took a major penalty with 4:30 or so left in the game (although EP also took a minor at the same time), but EP was unable to capitalize on 6-4. I'd guess both teams will have 5+ losses on the regular season but could mature into something to watch come sections.

I was there as well. For a team with one senior, a new coach and system, I thought EP played better than expected. HM’s goalie was exceptional and with a few inches (shots hit post, etc.), EP could’ve pulled off the win.

I also watched the HTown/CDH game as well. Cretin came out flying, but whatever coach Andrews said to the kids in the locker room must’ve worked as the Hawks ripped off 4 in the 2nd and it was over…. Cretin looked much faster, but seemed to have no energy in the 3rd.
