Looks like Cretin & Rosemount are tied 1-1 after 1

5- 3 Cre-tine on a pair of empty netters. I'm not impressed.

Should be a good one. Eastview didn't play Cretin this year. CDH will be a heavy favorite, but they look vulnerable.

I kind of have to laugh at the underachieving given the coaching staff and resources STA has. Eastview would have been a 4 or 5 seed in 1AA.

The TRME should look at sanctions on such an underachieving program.

As an aside…. Can anyone explain the difference between Eastview and Apple Valley? Same school district, from the outside the demographics look similar. Being from the Rochester area I get subtle differences economically can actually make a big difference in sports.

Oh believe me, we're looking into it...

Always great to see the recruits go down. One more win. Come on Eastview you can do this!

A bit of an ignominious end to STA's season. On paper (#2 v #3) this isn't a huge upset, and Eastview actually beat STA twice this year, with identical 2-1 scores in both. STA was a pre-season top 10 team, and had plenty of good wins this year: Cretin twice, Edina, Eden Prairie, Prior Lake. They had a number of close games, losing by a goal each to Grand Rapids, Maple Grove & Moorhead. But they never quite seemed to click, had some bizarre blowout losses, and had no consistency.

And if I recall correctly, weren't the the ones who got the big transfer from SSM? Pretty sure I heard the kids name in a couple of games I watched. He didn't seem to stand out for me. Whatever the reason was, it wasn't their year. Big challenge looms for Eastview.

It's hard to be consistent all the time.

Sure, someone has to be 2 and someone has to be 3, but I wouldn't call this an upset in any case. If I were a betting man, and coincidentally I am, I'd have called this an even money game. For Pete's sake the Cadets finished .500.
