Not high school hockey, but what a thriller in the NCAA last night in Fargo, UMD Bulldogs coming out on top with a five overtime win over North Dakota. Longest game ever in NCAA history. Icing on the cake for UMD coach Scott Sandelin was his son Ryan netting the overtime winner for Mankato State putting them into the West regional vs the Gophers.

Unbelievable game. So many times it was within an inch of ending. Hats off to ex Grand Rapids goalie Stejskal, a freshman for UMD making his tournament debut. Over 50 saves and lasted into the 4th overtime when he was pulled due to cramps.

I did not realize Stejskal had been pulled. Played a great game. I love to see northern Minn kids playing in the NCAA.
