Some interesting news this week. Gentry’s intention to opt up is not surprising, though the long term prognosis remains to be seen once the current crop passes through the program. The news about Cotter forming a program was a complete surprise. Boarding schools aren’t new to the MSHSL, but there really hasn’t been a boarding hockey program since Shattuck left in 1993, well before the modern player movement era.

Small nitpick: Northfield is no longer in 4A! They hit AA size during the last realignment cycle and are now in 1AA.

Thanks Stang...that is correct, NF is 1AA. We must have had our 2017 hats on yesterday.
