Who do you think they will play? I'm guessing GR or DE.

Grand Rapids fans are great and I like the orange and black matchup. I think that would be a no brainer. Cloquet a possibility two.

Not likely to have a rematch of the 2012 HDM game played at the pagel center.
Showcasing new communities will likely be a key focus going forward.

The further south you go, the less dependable the weather that's cold enough to produce good quality (natural) ice.

McNeilius in Dodge Center just laid off a third of their workers.
Luverne would be a good choice. Red Wing and Owatonna would also be good choices as they support their teams really well.

EGF would be a great place to have the game. It’s a shame they haven’t hosted one yet.

Should be Mahtomedi. We play each other at all levels in youth hockey, but never ever play at the high school level. This would be a great opportunity to spark the rivalry at the high school level, for both the boys and the girls.

Hockey Day 2021 in Mankato has been canceled. Mankato will host in 2022.

So far state tourney and hockey day. Proud of leaders to make right decisions!
Look NHL playoffs with no problems with hub
MLB playoffs with hubs no problem.
UMD conference going with hub for first part of season in Omaha
Take high school hockey players put them in bubble and let them play as they wish. Then you can have your season and not effect anyone else.

Imagine all of that blood, sweat and tears (and a ton of money) spent by the host city...only to have Bally Sports North not broadcast a game featuring your hometown team. What a huge steaming pile of bull poop that is.

Re: history of Hockey Day I found this interesting. I remembered the first one (or was it the second?) where the game was played on Lake of the Woods in blistering cold wind chills. Lake of the Woods was the host team on both of these first games, which were played on Baudette Bay.

While playing many, if not most, of these games in Northern Minnesota - where hockey first established its roots in this State - is extremely justified, times have certainly changed. I have no problem with Mankato hosting the next one this January. Just hope they will lay down artificial ice in case the outdoor temps are on the warm side.
